BBC Radio 5 live
It's a tradition up and down the country - and for footballers, fancy dress is nearly always involved.
In his latest BBC Radio 5 live podcast, Peter Crouch tells Chris Stark and Tom Fordyce about the time Steven Gerrard fooled everybody with his disguise at a Liverpool Christmas party.
Liverpool v Chelsea (19:45 BST)
ESPN senior football writer Mark Ogden: "Liverpool need a trophy. Chelsea have won lots of trophies in recent years. Liverpool have won one trophy this decade. It just isn't enough. They want to win the Premier League this year but the League Cup could open the door to many more.
"I think this trophy means more to Liverpool."
Tottenham v Watford (20:00 BST)
Dele Alli, who began his career at MK Dons captains Tottenham in their 'home' game against Watford, which will be played in Milton Keynes.

West Ham v Macclesfield (19:45 BST)
West Ham hope to agree a new long-term deal with teenager Declan Rice by the end of the year.
The 19-year-old's present deal has an option that means it is not due to expire until 2021.
An improved offer from the Hammers has already been rejected but the club are optimistic they can agree terms.
Rice has previously been used as a defender but manager Manuel Pellegrini has deployed him as a central midfielder in recent games.
Liverpool v Chelsea (19:45 BST)
Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola says it is "understandable" Gary Cahill is "upset" about a lack of game-time at the club this season.
The defender, whose contract expires at the end of the season, had not featured this campaign before playing 21 minutes off the bench at West Ham on Sunday. He DOES start tonight.
He was captain last season and has said he will ask to leave the Blues in January if he continues to be left out.
But Zola said Cahill, 33, has behaved like a "top professional".
"It is totally understandable Gary is upset and we want him to be upset. It means he cares," former Chelsea striker Zola said.
"He has been a top professional; he is doing everything correctly."

Matt Wilkinson: You can now see a difference in the Liverpool squad as even this it’s the Carabao Cup team it still looks strong. Same applies to Chelsea as well. Should be a good game!

Liverpool may be flying this season but they have lost their last three League Cup matches without scoring a single goal, their worst ever run in the competition – the Reds haven’t been eliminated at the third round stage in back to back seasons since doing so in 1989-90 (above) and 1990-91.

Tottenham's new stadium will be "the greatest that's ever been built", says one of the chief engineers working on the delayed project.
The delayed new 62,000-seat arena was due to open on 15 September.
"We've tried to do something in double time," engineer Nick Cooper said.
"If you look at any other project of this nature you wouldn't have achieved as much as we've achieved with the stadium.
"Be patient with us, we understand the frustrations."
Tottenham v Watford (20:00 BST)
Spurs, having meant to be playing in their new home by now, have played their last two home games at Wembley. But tonight it's up the M1 and the A5, braving the roadworks (I presume there are still plenty) and to Stadium:MK.
Has any team ever played at three different home grounds in the same season before?
Spurs' new 62,000-seat arena was supposed to open on 15 September but safety issues led to a delay.
They are in the home of the roundabout tonight because Wembley Stadium is not ready after the Anthony Joshua fight.
"If I have to help finish it to keep the supporters happy, I will," Mauricio Pochettino said yesterday.
"I am confident [it will be ready] this year.
"They are working hard to try to find the solution. I hope before the [end of the] year, before Christmas, we can play. That's my wish."
