Matt Smith and Tom Lawrence are being prepped to come on for Wales...

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 58 mins

    Wales 0-3 Spain

Spain are pinging the ball about as if it's a training ground exercise.

Eventually, Suso steps inside from the right, shifts it onto his left foot and curls it onto the top of the bar.

What a goal that would have been!

    Israel 1-1 Scotland

    Israel have equalised.

Taleb Twatha is allowed to cut in from the left and slips a pass into Dor Peretz, who holds off Andy Robertson with ease to prod the ball past Allan McGregor.

It is beautiful to watch Spain at their best, how they can rip you apart.

They can pick the pass in the central areas but have the width in their team too.

It is alarming the space Wales are giving them.

    Wales 0-3 Spain

Jose Gaya then floats a ball in from the left and Paco Alcacer leaps high but heads it over the crossbar.

    He fancies a hat-trick tonight.

    Wales 0-3 Spain

This is better from Wales. They remain organised in defence and have kept their shape fairly well.

Spain have to recycle it around the back but eventually find space down the right before the cross is cut-out inside the box.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    France 0-1 Iceland

The last time these two sides met - at Euro 2016 - France were leading 4-0 at half-time. A different story here as Birkir Bjarnason's strike separates the teams.

Suppose Les Bleus would prefer that to the other way around. The world champions have dominated possession without really threatening.

    Wales 0-3 Spain

Spain pass it comfortably around the back as Aaron Ramsey chases it down. Wales eventually win the ball in midfield but Spain put them under pressure immediately, pressing high up the pitch.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 50 mins

    Wales 0-3 Spain

Andy King replaces Ethan Ampadu. There's a concerning look on Ryan Giggs' face but it could just be a precaution.

    Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

    Wales 0-3 Spain

Aaron Ramsey tries to nick the ball off Dani Ceballos but a free-kick is awarded. Spain play it quickly and Alvaro Morata is through one-on-one with Wayne Hennessey but the Welsh keeper is quick off his line to snuff out the danger.

Meanwhile, Ethan Ampadu is down on the ground and looks to be going off...

  11. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 46 mins

    Wales 0-3 Spain

A few changes for Wales as David Brooks and James Chester come on for Ashley Williams and Harry Wilson.

Chelsea keeper Kepa also replaces David de Gea for Spain. Koke replaces Saul and Sergio Ramos is replaced by Marc Bartra.

The success Wales have had over the years has not been all about Gareth Bale.

It has been about defensive solidity, shape and clean sheets but I do not know where that has gone today.

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Wales 0-3 Spain

Can Wales reduce the deficit? They need a big turnaround in this second half.

I wonder what Ryan Giggs said at half-time... He was probably tempted to get his boots on and give it a go himself. He would definitely still do a job I reckon.

    France 0-1 Iceland

How are Iceland not 2-0 ahead??? Not one, not two, but THREE fantastic saves from Hugo Lloris somehow keep Iceland out after a scramble from a corner.

Some of his antics might have been winding up Spurs fans recently, but that really is top drawer from the France number one.

What a turnaround in Chorzow! Poland are trailing to Portugal at the break after Monaco centre-back Kamil Glik turns into his own net.

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is the architect with a glorious ball over the top to Rafa Silva who forces Glik into the error.

Serbia are still leading 1-0 against neighbours Montenegro in their historic first meeting, while Romania are beating Lithuania.

  17. Champions losing in Francepublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    France 0-1 Iceland

Not what the world champions were expecting...

France have done most of the running in Guingamp, Paul Pogba and Florian Thauvin both shooting wide, and have been punished.

Aston Villa midfielder Birkir Bjarnason shows them how it is done, confidently stroking a precise 20-yard shot into the bottom corner.

Les Bleus are not happy. The goal came after defender Presnel Kimpembe fell to the ground in the corner, Iceland taking advantage and France demanding a free-kick.

Gareth Bale: 'I never dreamed of being a record-breaker for Wales'

A Golden Boot will be awarded to Gareth Bale at half-time. It's being presented by Cliff Jones and Terry Medwin. The latter will also receive a ‘cap’ to replace an international cap he lost in a fire.

Bale became Wales' all-time record goalscorer after scoring a hat-trick in Wales' 6-0 win over China in March.

It saw him reach 29 international goals, one more than Liverpool legend Ian Rush. He now has 30 in total.

    Wales 0-3 Spain

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wales have been really disappointing, they have not given this 50,000 crowd anything to shout about.

It has been so easy for Spain to pop the ball about and they have not had to do too much for the goals.

Ryan Giggs will have some choice words to say at half time. He will want them to show a bit more fight and pride in the second half.

Spain are a quality outfit, some of their passing and movement has dragged Wales all over the place. They have overloaded on the wings but Paco Alcacer has had the freedom of the stadium with his two goals.

Ramos was free for his goal and that is unacceptable for me.

Connor Roberts had a stop-start beginning to his football career, which included loan spells at Yeovil Town, Bristol Rovers and Middlesbrough.

But the 23-year-old former Llangatwg Community School pupil is now a mainstay for Swansea in the Championship and has his sights set on being a Wales regular under manager Ryan Giggs.

BBC Wales went back to school with Roberts to see where it all began...
