They must know Halloween's round the corner...

Noel: United's problem is they start nervous, and for every minute the game goes on, (and they are not winning), they get more nervous and restless..and when you are playing a team as disciplined as a Benitez' one!!

  5. Big chancepublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 6 October 2018

Big opportunities this afternoon for some clubs to move themselves (temporarily at least) into the top four.

Watford and Bournemouth are both sniffing about in the upper half of the table, with Leicester and Wolves just beneath them.

Huddersfield, Cardiff and Newcastle just want a win. Any win. Any how.

    Third season syndrome?

Nicola: The interesting thing about this Mourinho saga is seeing it now from an outside perspective. It is almost a carbon copy of what happened at Chelsea but when it’s your club he brings you along with him...But when it’s not your club you can see it is of his own making...

Jose must go immediately, I'd sack him mid-game, announce it on the tannoy & have security throw him out. He was never right for United. The only solution is to put Carrick in charge until we've appointed a technical director, who can then pick his own man. Apart from Sanchez & Lukaku, you can't blame any of the players, least of all Pogba.

Almost time for some actual football to start - but a reminder that Manchester United don't play until the late game. So there's time for plenty more Jose Mourinho speculation yet.

Mourinho? Pogba? Woodward? The Manchester United Cluedo continues...

Sammy: Pogba has played for 2yrs, so change of manager won't turn him to a new player. We've seen all that he is as a player. He's not as good as he thinks he is. He's got talent, but his big problem is his understanding of the game.

    Leicester v Everton (15:00 BST)

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Spurs and England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

I like the way Leicester play. They pass the ball well and I don't think teams enjoy playing against them. They have got talented players.

They have changed a lot of the team since winning the title in 2016, but they would be disappointed not to get into the top eight with what they have got.

    Burnley v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

Sean Dyche makes one change to the Burnley side that won 2-1 at Cardiff City last time out, with Ashley Barnes preferred over Matej Vydra.

James Tarkowski also starts, having recovered from a groin strain that saw the England man withdrawn during the early stages of the win in the Welsh capital.

Steven Defour misses the game due to a personal issue, while winger Robbie Brady is not yet fit to return.

Meanwhile, David Wagner makes one change to the side beaten 2-0 by Tottenham, with Terence Kongolo (hamstring) dropping out and Rajiv van La Parra coming in.

Christopher Schindler (knee) has passed a fitness test but Danny Williams, Abdelhamid Sabiri, Ramadan Sobhi and Tom Smith all remain sidelined.

    Tottenham v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

    Tottenham XI

Tottenham make just three changes from their midweek defeat by Barcelona in the Champions League.

Danny Rose returns at left-back, Eric Dier comes into central midfield and Moussa Sissoko gets a start.

Ben Davies, Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela are the players to miss out.

Spurs XI: Lloris, Trippier, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Rose, Dier, Winks, Lucas, Son, Sissoko, Kane.

Subs: Gazzaniga (GK), Lamela, Wanyama, Walker-Peters, Llorente, Davies, Skipp.

    Cardiff XI

Cardiff are boosted by the return of Junior Hoilett, who missed last week's loss to Burnley with a virus.

Manager Neil Warnock had joked he would play 10 defenders for this game but has resisted that urge.

Joe Bennett is the only other change at full-back.

Cardiff: Etheridge, Bennett, Morrison, Bamba, Manga, Arter, Ralls, Murphy, Paterson, Camarasa, Hoilett.

Subs: Murphy, Richards, Ward, Zohore, Reid, Gunnarsson, Harris.
