    Red Star 0-0 Liverpool

First shot on target, but it's an easy one. Red Star's Marko Marin cuts in from the left but his weak low shot dribbles through to Alisson.

    Red Star 0-0 Liverpool

Sadio Mane flies in behind the Red Star defence but nobody is up with him. He whacks it across to James Milner, who volleys the ball over from the edge of the box.

Milner is very good at a lot of things, but not that.

Dion Cools has just come on for Monaco. My word, that's a great name.

This is possibly the best atmosphere at a football stadium I have ever experienced... It is astonishing.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 6 mins

Red Star's Marko Marin slides in on Trent Alexander-Arnold as he tries to clear the ball. The former Chelsea player's eyes almost pop out of his head in apparent shock as the referee gets out his yellow card.

    Red Star 0-0 Liverpool

I can't even imagine the noise levels if Red Star score. The roof almost comes off as they win a throw-in.

Filip Stojkovic takes a long throw, and Virgil van Dijk concedes a corner to deny Slavoljub Srnic.

Liverpool hammered this team earlier this season, but that was not a game played in this stadium, in these circumstances and in this atmosphere. The home fans have not shut up since they have arrived and it's brilliant. They are actually getting louder and louder.

Liverpool are straight on the attack, playing in their not so famous purple. Mohamed Salah has a cross blocked.

Ten seconds in and Red Star have a goal kick as Liverpool just booted a misplaced long ball down the pitch.

I'm not surprised Daniel Sturridge is starting because Roberto Firmino hasn't looked as sharp so far this season, after playing a number of games. Sturridge has looked sharp and he gets his chance tonight.

You can barely hear the Champions League music above the fans' noise.

  16. Postpublished at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2018

Liverpool come out to a sea of red and white, the colours of Red Star Belgrade, in a pre-arranged fans' display. This is a great atmosphere in Serbia.

  20. 'We are here to win'published at 17:46 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2018

Red Star Belgrade v Liverpool (17:55 GMT)

Liverpool manager Jurgen KloppImage source, Reuters

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to BT Sport: "Joe [Gomez] had a little issue after the last game so there is no reason to push him. He is fine for the bench though because he trained this morning. So all good.

"Dejan Lovren became ill so we had to make that change. Adam Lallana is ready. He has had minutes and games after a long period out. It is clear that if we wanted to change and bring in fresh legs it makes sense to bring him in.

"Everybody speaks about the atmosphere. It is influential and we know that. [Red Star] have brought in a few new players. They are stronger and more offensive.

"It is the most offensive I have seen from them so far in the Champions League. They are confident. But we are here to win the game, of course.

"We know that's difficult. The challenge is always to be ready for the game but so far my boys are always ready. We know everything about the opponent - or as much as you can."
