Djibril Sow should have left it because Chris Smalling was drawn to the ball, but Jean-Pierre Nsame was waiting behind for a tap in.

  2. CLOSE!published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    Man Utd 0-0 Young Boys

A BIG chance for Young Boys at the end of the first half.

Full-back Kevin Mbabu picks out Djibril Sow inside the six yard box and he can take a touch and finish, but tries an elaborate flicks which fails to hit the target.

I like Marcus Rashford when he is driving at people and he is confident, but it is a wild shot.

Times They Are a-Changin in Group F as I channel my inner Bob Dylan.

As far as the football is concerned Steven Zuber has pulled the hosts level to revive their hopes of qualification.

They may still need a couple of favours from Manchester City mind.

Marcus Rashford in space down the right-edge of the box, but screws his shot wide.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    Lyon 0-0 Man City

Lyon will be wondering how they still have a big fat zero next to their name.

  7. Rashford's complaintpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    Man Utd 0-0 Young Boys

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

When Marcus Rashford's cross from the left just then ran through to Fred, who curled a shot over, he waved his arms angrily.

I am not sure exactly why.

Marouane Fellaini for not reading his pull back. Fred for not getting in the right position to shoot or himself for getting the cross wrong.

United look ill at ease. They need a goal to settle themselves down.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    Lyon 0-0 Man City

City are hanging on by their fingernails in Lyon.

The hosts have been swarming all over the Premier League champions and should be ahead.

It's Maxwel Cornet again with the effort in plenty of space, but his volley into the ground - ala Mesut Ozil - rattles the crossbar.

    Man Utd 0-0 Young Boys

Brilliant from Marcus Rashford initially, and he chopped both ways, but it is just that final ball. He had time to pick a red shirt out but the chance goes begging.

40 minutes gone and still United search for that elusive goal.

Marcus Rashford leaves bodies lying all over Old Trafford with his pace and trickery.

The cutback is a little behind Fred but the Brazilian can hook a shot which sails narrowly wide of goal.

  11. 'He is not moving well'published at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    Man Utd 0-0 Young Boys

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Marcus Rashford just took a knock there and he is not moving well.

The Young Boys captain Steve von Bergen is also holding his left ankle and I don't think he is going to recover.

    Marcus Rashford breaking ankles...literally.

A sublime turn on the halfway line leaves Young Boys skipper Steve von Bergen floundering and it looks like a problem with his left foot.

Can he continue? Let's wait and see.

Robert Lewandowski has just added another for the hosts in Bavaria.

  14. 220 minutes and countingpublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    Man Utd 0-0 Young Boys

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

It is now over 220 minutes since Manchester United last scored a home goal in the Champions League.

That's roughly the same time it takes to fly to Turkey or Greece from Manchester.

    Bayern Munich 2-0 Benfica

    Arjen Robben 2-0 Benfica.

The Dutch winger is rolling back the years for Bayern Munich. The 34-year-old picks the ball up a little more centrally but skips inside and slams a left-foot shot into the net.

It looks a long way back for the Portuguese side in Bavaria. And they have to win to have any chance of finishing in the top two.

Bayern closing in on joining Ajax in the knockout stages at present.

Patient build-up play from Young Boys, full-back Kevin Mbabu rolls the ball across the box for Miralem Sulejmani, but the shot is well blocked by Chris Smalling's last ditch challenge.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    Lyon 0-0 Man City

City have not really threatened but do come close via good link-up play between David Silva and Sergio Aguero, but the Argentine has the ball nicked away from his right boot just as he was about to pull the trigger and add to his tally.

I suppose it will be Jose's fault Rashford missed that early sitter? Players have to look at themselves and answer if they are deserving of a United shirt. Not many would say yes....if they were honest.
