Tottenham 3-0 Borussia Dortmund
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino speaking to BT Sport: "It was a fantastic second half. The first half was difficult. It was a difficult game from the beginning. It was difficult to find what the best position was in both directions.
"When we had the ball we struggled to play in the way we wanted to play. The team started to feel comfortable, then we scored. And afterwards we played with more confidence.
"In the first half we played a little - not nervously - but not with the confidence. The second half was very, very good.
"We spoke about our defensive positions and changed things a little. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I wanted to take the best decision to perform in the best way. It was a fantastic game.
"Always when we play this competition and against a good side like Dortmund it is very difficult. There is still work to do.
"We have a lot of talented players. We have an unbelievable squad. I am happy with all the players. The only problem is that we can only play 11 and not 22."

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp on BT Sport: "Jan Vertonghen never stopped in the second half. Both full-backs pushed forward at every opportunity.
"Dortmund went missing. Spurs completely overrun them in the second half."
Former Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand: "It was phenomenal. Mauricio Pochettino has to take huge credit for the way he tweaked the full-backs. The individual performances from Eriksen, Vertonghen, Sissoko and Son...
"In the first half Dortmund looked like the team top of the Bundesliga but the contrast to the second half was huge."

It's possibly the hardest thing I've ever done this. So many Tottenham fans down below walking past me looking so happy!
But Spurs fully deserve this win.
Dortmund fell apart under the pressure and the intensity from Tottenham; they just couldn't deal with it.
The first goal came at a brilliant time.
Each man did a little bit more at the start of the second half.
But as a player you will say 'half time' the fans can go off and say what they like but Mauricio Pochettino will have to tell his players it's only 'half time'.
But it will be a tough ask for Dortmund to go on and beat this Tottenham side now.

Lotak: Ben from Farnborough, I was holding my sleeping 2-day-old daughter in my right arm when Lucas scored the goal against Barcelona back in December. That was definitely harder than the child birth my wife had to go through (hers was actually very easy - her own words)
Re Ben (22:06). I saw Tottenham lose to Juve last season whilst my other half gave birth. I'm a Chelsea fan, and there was some screaming, so I could celebrate as loudly as I liked.

People going on about Kane and Alli missing but does anyone realise Dortmund were missing some big players tonight including their skipper?

Ajax 1-2 Real Madrid
Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong: "As a team we did well, it was too bad that our goal is rejected. Perhaps something like that is easy to do in favour of the big club, we have also had that.
"But we have continued well and have received our opportunities afterwards. Too bad it did not yield a better result."
Ajax 1-2 Real Madrid
Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos: "I have said many times that I am a great defender of the VAR because it will make football fairer little by little.
"We knew how to suffer, read the game and create spaces against them to take advantage of our speed, we achieved a great result and now it's up to them to suffer in our stadium. "

Players have to buy in to the process. These players buy into Mauricio Pochettino and what he's doing and believe in the style, from Monday to Friday in training, with the games just a little snippet of what they do.
And if you don't buy into that process then you've had it and you don't produce on a Saturday.

Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho speaking to BT Sport: "I don't have any words for the second half. We tried our best but they scored and were the better team.
"In the first half we played really well. We dropped a bit and lost focus. We need to keep focused for the whole game.
"Jan Vertonghen is a good player but hopefully next time we can handle it better. I am just happy that I am in England and playing in front of my family.
"I am happy that I am home and I hope I gave the audience something they never knew about me. We will keep believing we can score more than them and hopefully we can get through to the next round."

Casper de Wesselow: Winks and Declan Rice at the base of an England midfield in 2022. Future looks bright
Kyle: Brilliant performance from Tottenham in the 2nd half especially. If they keep playing like that and with Kane, Ali, Rose and Dier to come back Spurs are capable of going all the way and winning this competition
David Nicholson Hirst: Dortmund are lucky Kane wasn't fit, might have been worse for them
