  1. 'Spurs will be quite happy'published at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2019

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Tottenham (Agg: 0-3)

    David Moyes
Former Everton & Man Utd manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

I had a feeling this was the way the game would go. I thought Dortmund would be the team with the advantage and they have shown that.

But Tottenham have just crept into it so I think they'll be quite happy. They have given Dortmund too much room, I think the shape of the team hasn't suited them and defensively they haven't been quite so good. Thankfully their goalkeeper has been in the right position and made one or two saves.

Real Madrid 0-2 Ajax (Agg: 2-3)

By the way, Southampton sold Dusan Tadic for £10m last summer. He's ripped Real Madrid apart in both legs that I've seen.

Hindsight is always wonderful but I can't help but feel the Saints got that one wrong...

Bezaleel: The longer it stays like this, the better for Tottenham. Looking like a repeat of the first leg.

Lee Hounslow: I wouldn't say Spurs have Champions league or World Cup winning mentality more like pub team mentality time for another war cry Poch.

Joe: Following Dortmund v Spurs on #bbcfootball is like listening to Bruno v Tyson in '89.

Speaking of...it was the 30th anniversary of that fight just the other week.

I know I'm all about the goals but sometimes a 0-0 is brilliant to watch. And that was.

Spurs are 45 minutes away from the last eight.

Hugo Lloris having a blinder. His goal is under siege like Steven Seagal on the USS Missouri.

Yes, this really is Steven Seagal. And this wasn't even for a film role!!

Sam Pougher: It's not even half time yet and already Hugo Lloris deserves Man of the Match.

Bezaleel: Hugo Lloris is keeping Spurs alive in this tie. What a game!!!

Odel: We often commend good offensive play but there is such a thing as good defensive play as well. Well done Hugo Lloris and Tottenham with the heroic defending so far.

Another save needed from Hugo Lloris, an easy one this time though as he catches a floater from Paco Alcacer.

DavGaddu: The mighty Ajax dethroning this serial winning Real Madrid like watching eleven Andrea Pirlo's in that Ajax shirt. Football owes a lot to the Dutch philosophy.

Sho: Ajax have been truly sensational so far. Real don't know what's happening. Could easily be 4 up.

Tofag: And Dusan Tadic strolling through a midfield of Kroos and Modric on a clear night at the Bernabeu is a difficult story to explain to my kids. Tadic's play makes Ajax look like prime Guardiola's Barca at the Bernabeu.

    Close! Post!

Gareth Bale is close to bringing Real back level as he thumps the outside of the post with his left-footer.

If it were to end 2-1 to Ajax on the night we'd have extra-time...

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Tottenham (Agg: 0-3)

In again! And again! This is incredible now. First Jadon Sancho has a shot saved by Hugo Lloris and then Marius Wolf has a cutback well blocked.

I'm not sure whether to be impressed that Spurs have managed to come this far with a clean sheet intact or fascinated that they haven't tried to change anything tactically to stop this yellow wave upon wave...

Hugo Lloris has had his critics recently but he's on top form tonight. And just as well he is.

I can't believe how Tottenham are so lackadaisical, they're so slow in coming out and closing the ball down.

  16. Postpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2019

The Champions League knockout stage is just the best.

  17. CLOSE!published at 34 mins

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Tottenham (Agg: 0-3)

Relentless. Dortmund float the corner out to Marco Reus, 20 yards out, Paul Scholes style. His volley is cleanly hit and it deflects inches wide.

Mario Gotze then has a curler saved again by Hugo Lloris!

    This is intense...

Alex Haworth: The atmosphere in the Bernabeu is as flat as a pancake now.

Paul: As things currently stand Sergio Ramos will miss Real Madrid's first group game in next year's champions league.

Saroj Gurung: Now i understand why Ramos deliberately got booked - so that he didn't get humiliated. Real fans probably still blaming Bale somehow for this.

Out of nothing Spurs have a great chance! Christian Eriksen threads a pass into the path of Son, running at full pelt. He gets a hand in the back from Marius Wolf and shoots just wide!

A great chance - should that have been a penalty?! No VAR review.
