Man City 3-2 Tottenham (Agg 3-3)

Moussa Sissoko's night is done. It looks like a groin strain.

He's replaced by... striker Fernando Llorente.

This crazy game isn't going to get any more sane it seems.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

    Porto 0-1 Liverpool (Agg 0-3)

    Porto's Pepe gets booked.

That's the least surprising thing I've published tonight.

  4. 'Spurs need to take the sting out of the game'published at 20:40 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

Man City 3-2 Tottenham (Agg: 3-3)

    Alan Shearer
Former England captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

Spurs were taking every kick, throw-in and corner quickly in the first 30 minutes. They just need to slow it down and take the sting out of the game now.

  5. Postpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

Man City 3-2 Tottenham (Agg 3-3)

Sergio Aguero has actually been relatively quiet among all this madness. He turns and shoots in the box but the effort is blocked.

David Silva takes the resulting corner and it's probably the worst I've ever seen.

The Spaniard kicks the ground as he takes it and the ball dribbles straight out for a goal kick.

  6. Time to take a breather?published at 20:40 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Etihad Stadium

Seems ages since we last had a goal - it is like the whole stadium is just taking a few minutes to settle down.

It has been simply magnificent stuff. Forget the complaints about the defending, it has been a thoroughly enjoyable wild ride.

PentaTonicVoice: Well LiVARpool are doing well tonight!

Harry: I don't understand how you can give a goal that is flagged offside? Players stop playing when they see the flag. If the assistant isn't sure he shouldn't raise his flag.

Andrew: No other sport can do this. Just wish I were neutral!

I know these players are fit but they surely can't keep this up. I've never seen a match like it.

  9. 'City missing protection in front of the defence'published at 20:35 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

Man City 3-2 Tottenham (Agg: 3-3)

    Alan Shearer
Former England captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

City are playing such a high line that Spurs can get in behind with the pace of Lucas Moura and Son-Heung Min with one long ball. They are so good at going forward but they are missing that protection in front of the defence.

Man City 3-2 Tottenham (Agg 3-3)

We've gone 10 minutes without a goal in Manchester. Both sides still race forward.

Bernardo Silva is furious after being judged to have fouled Danny Rose in the Spurs left-back position.

That gives everyone chance to calm down.

  12. goal

GOAL - Porto 0-1 Liverpool (Agg 0-3)published at 20:30 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

    Sadio Mane

    He's given it!

This is very, very tight but Liverpool take the lead on the night with their first shot.

Sadio Mane gets it, running in around the back to turn in Mo Salah's scuffed shot.

The wait for the VAR decision was almost two minutes.

This tie is surely over now.

  15. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

Tottenham are still going through on away goals as things stand.

Man City look unplayable going forward but shaky at the back. Spurs will still fancy another.

This is absolutely magnificent from Bernardo Silva. He runs at goal and then flicks it off to Kevin de Bruyne who whips it into the back post. Guess who? Raheem Sterling tucks it away beautifully.

Have you ever seen anything like this?

There are stunned faces around the Etihad. They can't believe what they are seeing.

Man City take a free-kick quickly. Bernardo Silva plays in Kevin de Bruyne, the Belgian whips in a beautiful cross and Raheem Sterling tucks in his second of the night at the back post.

    FIVE GOALS IN 21 MINUTES.

  18. Postpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

Man City 2-2 Tottenham (Agg 2-3)

This is the earliest there have ever been four goals in a Champions League game.

I'm not surprised by that stat from our friends at Opta.

Mauricio Pochettino is having a word with Danny Rose. Poch still looks calm. He's the only one in the stadium.

  19. Postpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 17 April 2019

    Porto 0-0 Liverpool (Agg 0-2)

Porto's Moussa Marega missed a hat-full of chances in the first leg and another goes by here.

A cross comes in from the left, Marega takes it down and has a shot early but it's scuffed and comfortably wide.
