I believe a night like this can be the making for Fernando Llorente. The more service you get up to him, with regard to crosses in the box, the more problems you will cause.

Ajax are the first team from outside England, Germany, Spain, Italy and France to reach the Champions League semi-finals since fellow Dutch side PSV Eindhoven did so 14 years ago.

PSV were beaten by AC Milan, who went on to lose one of the greatest finals against Liverpool in Istanbul.

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag on his side's progression to the Champions League semi-finals:

"We want to continue this curve. It's amazing that we're in the Champions League semi-finals.

"Nobody could have predicted at the beginning of the season that a Dutch team would end up in the Champions League semi-finals.

"We have achieved something - but we want to do more. We don't want to rest on our laurels."

Spurs need to be attacking those wide channels against this Ajax side who play very narrow. Gonna be a cracker.

I'm sure with the injuries and the suspensions, Mauricio Pochettino will have been sure of his team. I'm interested to see how Spurs start.

If they let Ajax have the ball they can really play and they are a young team with lots of energy. It could be a difficult night for the hosts.

We've been asking you whether the Champions League is the best tournament. Remember, YOU can get involved in the debate here. We've selected some of the best responses below...

Felix, Nigeria: I like the Champions League because of so many surprises it brings. One of them being Ajax’s incredible run to semi-finals.

John, Australia: The EFL is the best. Until last week there were possibly 10 teams with a chance of promotion, and the riches it brings adds more spice to the pot. This with the added playoffs and I cannot look any further.

Speaking of Edwin van der Sar...He is the chief executive of Ajax, the club he first joined as a 20-year-old goalkeeper in 1990.

Here, he talks to BBC Sport about the club's philosophy and youth development:

"At Ajax we have a certain philosophy that is sometimes more important than winning - the development of players.

"Many other clubs think differently, but here it has always been important to give youngsters a chance. It's our lifeline. It's in our DNA.

"We have a certain strategy, a way we think we need to play football, and I think fans in the whole world like that the team is not only about maximising revenues. It is not only about selling shirts, it is about football.

"Our philosophy, that we develop children and give them a chance to shine, that needs to continue."

Edwin van der Sar is at the stadium, doing some pre-match media work. He still has an invincible aura about him.

I remember interviewing him at university. He made a point of shaking everybody's hands before sitting down at the table. He then said "ladies first" and gestured to me to ask the first question.

I totally panicked. But he's a true gentleman!

Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt said their run to the Champions League semi-finals left him speechless following their incredible victory over Juventus.

"It's bizarre. It's not normal. I have no words for it," the 19-year-old defender told BT Sport after that match.

"We have shown once again that we are very strong and that we can make it difficult for large teams.

"I was going a bit crazy because we couldn't convert any of the chances. I wasn't born the last time we reached the semis!"

Mauricio Pochettino speaking to BT Sport just now: "I think Moussa Sissoko is in a condition to play of course, so he is on the bench and is available. We have been tired a little bit in the last few weeks.

"He is a very important player for us so he is unlucky but it's good to have him on the bench. The way that we plan to play it is important to have a player like Fernando Llorente up front.

"We believe and we think that can be important for the team."
