Jan Vertonghen is frustrated. He blocks the cross on the right and slides to prevent the corner. He then waves his arms in the air while screaming at his team-mates.

Ajax really squeeze at a fast pace to win the ball, but once they get it back, they are very calm in possession.

Fernando Llorente's diagonal ball over to Dele Alli is picked out by Frenkie de Jong. There's just nothing on for the striker.

Spurs are camped in at the minute and the captain has to take charge. They look nervous and they are unsure of who is picking up who.

Tottenham are giving Ajax half a yard every time they're on the ball. Fernando Llorente and Lucas Moura are being pushed further and further back into their own half.

Ajax were already looking composed even before that goal - huge task for Spurs now but the Champions League has examined their character before and they have come through.

This, however, looks ominous.

I have no idea how he has ghosted in between two defenders. It is a terrible defensive line and Kieran Trippier is just playing him onside. It's the right decision and I could see it coming.

Dusan Tadic and David Neres link-up nicely down the left but there's nobody in the middle when it's crossed in. It's all a bit too easy though. Ajax are just passing it around how they like.

12 minutes gone and so far, it's Ajax who are controlling the pace. Not too much to get excited about though.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are sat in the crowd - not together though. I bet they're itching to get on!

Frenkie de Jong is tidy and he works hard. He dictates the pace of the game and they make the pitch so big when they have the ball. It means Spurs have to do more running.

Christian Eriksen's clearly been told to get it straight up to Fernando Llorente. Every time he's received the ball, he's moved it on straight away.

This time it's probably too quickly. Llorente only has Lucas Moura in support and he has nowhere to go.

Fernando Llorente does really well to bring the ball down, turn and beat Daley Blind. He's had the better of the defender so far.

That's a tussle to keep an eye on tonight!

I think the Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana has a mistake in him. He is quite laboured and he looks like he might take a chance [with the ball at his feet].
