Ajax have been a joy to watch all season, especially in this competition. Let's not forget the maturity they showed away from home against Real Madrid and Juventus. They have been assured.
The first goal was soft to concede but they look streets ahead. Spurs need three goals but you cannot say that Ajax won't score again.

This is only the sixth game I have watched Ajax play this season but they've been 9/10 in all of them. Nobody can argue with their credentials if they win the Champions League in Madrid.

It's a real pleasure to watch this Ajax side in action. Well drilled, possession football but not the boring kind, always with a purpose in mind. It's great when you get something this good that you weren't expecting at the start of the year.
Like Fleabag or something. An absolute gem that takes you by surprise but will live long in your mind.

The Moroccan magician. Clinical. It's really good play by Ajax down the left hand side and the ball is rolled into his path.
Hakim Ziyech whips the ball superbly across Hugo Lloris. What a player. What a team. What a moment. You just cannot see it for Spurs now.

Is that Ajax into the final? It's a quality, quality goal. Ajax come away, Dusan Tadic found on the left by the energetic Donny van de Beek, he cuts it back to Hakim Ziyech running into the area.
He lets the ball come across and then just whips it first time, up and over Hugo Lloris and into the far corner, left footed. An absolute peach of a goal!

Dele Alli is trying to make it happen for Spurs, working hard but giving away a free-kick. Danny Rose clears the ball into referee Felix Brych's face. Inadvertently - and his apology is accepted.

Spurs are still in this competition by a matter of inches. Victor Wanyama took too long on the ball and Ajax stole possession before releasing Dusan Tadic.
He drives from the left hand side and he just pulls the ball narrowly past the far right hand post of Hugo Lloris' goal.

But instead it's nearly a goal at the other end! Victor Wanyama loses the ball cheaply and Ajax come away with real purpose, they find Dusan Tadic on the left. He glides past Toby Alderweireld, Saint on Saint, and drags a shot just wide.
He's scored 34 (THIRTY-FOUR) goals this season! What were Southampton doing to him?!
