  1. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 64 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 Malmo (3-1 Agg)

Attacking midfielder N'Golo Kante sets up another goal - but the flag is up! Kante drives right through the middle again, he plays a pass/tackle which finds Ross Barkley and he bundles it in. The former Everton man was a yard off though.

David E: Welcome N’golo Kante. What a player you are! Always performing no matter the position you play him.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 Malmo (3-1 Agg)

I think Markus Rosenberg is back with us, as full-back Behrang Safari is a bit lucky that N'Golo Kante was able to ride his awkward lunge. He's already on a booking.

Rosenberg is now coming off, replacement Carlos Strandberg getting some last-minute info from former Leicester boss Rob Kelly.

Maurizio Sarri could present that goal as exhibit A in defence of his tactics. N'Golo Kante was the man bursting forward to help set up that goal.

Would he have got there if he was playing deeper? Arguably not.

Malmo have to score three now. We can pencil Chelsea into the last 16 alongside Arsenal.

  7. goal

    GOAL - Chelsea 1-0 Malmo (3-1 Agg)published at 55 mins

    Olivier Giroud

That's why N'Golo Kante is playing in that role! He makes a goal from nothing. A Malmo defender heads the ball out, Kante reads it and beats two Malmo men to the ball and then powers over halfway and sprints at the defence.

He feeds Willian overlapping on the left, his first-time cross is perfect and Olivier Giroud is able to tap into an empty net.

    Fine goal.

Jamie Browning: The big question is: what is Sarri going to do on 60 minutes when he goes to sub Kovacic for Barkley only to realise he's started both of them.

    This Jamie...

Cris: Sarri's substitutions tonight; Zapacosta for Azpilicueta, Jorginho for Kovacic and Kovacic for Barkley.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 53 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Malmo (2-1 Agg)

Rasmus Bengtsson is booked for a lunge on Ross Barkley before a streaker is chased across the pitch by some stewards.

Steve Howes: For all the complaining about Chelsea tonight and normally it's justified, the objective tonight is to keep the ball and not let them time to score two.

Koba Fern: Once Chelsea realise they're Chelsea, I feel badly for Malmo. Chelsea 3 Malmo 0 mark my words.

Adam Salter: Arsenal in the last few seasons under Wenger, and Chelsea under Sarri this season, seemed to get stuck in ‘The Horsehoe’ around the box. Possession without penetration.

That's the most in common I will ever have with Gianfranco Zola. What a player in his day. Superb.

Chelsea could do with him out on the pitch tonight, never mind in the dugout. This is drab, drab, drab.

  12. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Malmo (2-1 Agg)

Some news for you - Gianfranco Zola is absent from the Chelsea bench for a second successive match after being readmitted to hospital following gallstone surgery complications.

I had my gall bladder out last year, it's the only illness I've ever had and it's absolutely horrific. Get well soon Franco! Have a few weeks off work mate.

The best of the late kick-offs so far has been Real Betis at home to Rennes, with the visitors leading 2-1 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate.

Dynamo Kiev have taken the lead on aggregate against Olympiakos while Inter Milan seem to be cruising through. They lead Rapid Vienna 2-0 and 3-0 on aggregate.

The only other goals have come in Genk's game with Slavia Prague. It's 1-1 on the night and aggregate.

  16. 'Flashes of good play'published at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Malmo (2-1 Agg)

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport at Stamford Bridge

Maurizio Sarri's team took a few risks on the edge of the box in the first half where had they turned into Malmo goals, you could see the home fans turning on their manager again. As it stands, though, the criticisms are only murmurs and there have been flashes of good play to build on in the second half.

Akinmuseun: Just a goal for Malmo in the first half and this game takes a mammoth twist for Chelsea.

Femi: This is just awful to watch! Chelsea desperately need to replace Sarri.

Underworld: I tell you what, whoever came up with last year’s league table was spot on, with both Arsenal and ChelseaFC into the Europa League - both look just about cut out for ties against BATE and Malmo.
