Sarah Morgan: What is it with Gunners' common sense being blasted away by Europa League - Sokratis had done nothing but beg for red card most of the half's last 20 minutes!

Craig Smith: Arsenal can’t concede more than 3. Take them to the Emirates, possible to win 2-0. Any more than four, game over. Terrible by Soktaris, may have cost Arsenal this tie

David: Sokratis was the one being pulled. 8.4 for the dive.

Chelsea v Dynamo Kiev (20:00 GMT)

    Chelsea

A pretty Europa Leaguey, but strong, looking line-up from Chelsea. Six changes from their Premier League win over Fulham. Olivier Giroud, Pedro, Davide Zappacosta, David Luiz, Marcos Alonso and Mateo Kovacic are all in.

Kepa starts in goal, Eden Hazard is on the bench.

Chelsea: Kepa, Alonso, Christensen, Luiz, Zappacosta, Jorginho, Barkley, Pedro, Kovacic, Willian, Giroud.

Dynamo Kiev make only one change - enforced - from their previous league game. Youngster Nazariy Rusyn is in for the injured Fran Sol up front.

Dynamo Kiev: Boyko, Sydorchuk, Shepeliev, Shaparenko, Tsygankov, Mykolenko, Burda, Buyalskiy, Shabanov, Rusyn, Kędziora.

See Dan 18:20 I've always thought you should get a match ban for every roll you do. Maybe slightly harsh. Though I would put in the exception that if you roll off the pitch that's fine, since play can carry on. And it would be funny to see a player do 50 rolls to make sure they reach the touchline

Roazhon Park is bouncing. 10-man Arsenal will have to really dig in after the break...

    Alexander Schimmel: Mustafi-esque by Sokratis

Jack: Red card for what was clearly not a foul. Joke

Paul Harrison: Clear foul on Sokratis there- very poor from the referee to red card him.

  6. CLOSE!published at 44 mins

    Rennes 1-1 Arsenal

It was a tame challenge but Sokratis gave referee Ivan Kruzliak a decision to make - he should have let Ismaila Sarr go.

It's made this game a lot more interesting anyway. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is currently filling in at full-back, and he is beaten easily and Sarr stabs it wide...

Paul: Karma will come for Ben Arfa one day. Waste of a player. Sokratis deserved the second yellow but he's pathetic flapping his arms around to make sure it happens

Softest decision I've seen since...well, actually, since that penalty last night. Hugely unjust.

GOAL - Rennes 1-1 Arsenalpublished at 43 mins

    Benjamin Bourigeaud

    Woooooof!

    WHAT a goal that is!!

Hatem ben Arfa's free-kick is into the wall but it bounces out to Benjamin Bourigeaud, about 22 yards out. He drives across the ball, outside of the boot, and absolutely whistles it into the top corner.

A superb goal, and it gets the full Depeche Mode treatment over the PA too.

  9. RED CARD - Sokratispublished at 41 mins

    Rennes 0-1 Arsenal

Oh dear! Hatem ben Arfa plays in Ismaila Sarr, he gets in a tangle with Sokratis, and the Greek is shown his second yellow in just seven minutes or so!

He didn't need to make that challenge, he had Laurent Koscielny for support. It was more clumsy than anything else but Arsenal are down to 10.

    Rennes 0-1 Arsenal

Done too much! Hatem ben Arfa does brilliantly to sell a dummy in the Arsenal defence and open up a shooting chance on his right foot but he wants to beat another man on the outside and loses the chance. Such a talent, but so frustrating.

    A classic winger really.

    Rennes 0-1 Arsenal

Get it over! Rennes have plenty of opportunity to get a cross in from the right but they try and work it over across the deck and the chance has gone. Unai Emery is really not happy down in the dugout.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 35 mins

    Rennes 0-1 Arsenal

It is Hatem ben Arfa, he goes around the wall instead of over it and that's an easy enough save for Petr Cech, who can just push it to safety. Rennes then get the ball into the feet of Adrien Hunou, he turns well and fires over the bar.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 34 mins

    Rennes 0-1 Arsenal

Sokratis is in the book for Arsenal after a clumsy challenge on the edge of the D - good chance for Rennes, this.

All-time Chelsea legend* Miroslav Stoch equalised for Slavia Prague at perennial Europa League winners Sevilla.

    *played a combined 40 minutes in 2008-09

But three minutes later Munir El Haddadi has put Sevilla in front again.

  15. CLOSE!published at 31 mins

    Rennes 0-1 Arsenal

That is close! Shkodran Mustafi is still out there, he's rallied after twice going down injured, and he very nearly scores. Again the danger comes down the Arsenal left, a low cross cuts out three defenders and finds Mustafi at the far post, and he shoots low and wide.

Don't think that is just limited to the continent is it Dan?

The game has gone a bit one-paced, plenty of sideways passing, with Alex Iwobi looking the most dangerous man on the pitch.

New rule for the continent. The amount of times you roll over on the floor gets turned into the amount of minutes you have to go off the pitch and "recover". Grown. Men. Embarrassing.

Pamela Smith: In the order of Napoli, Chelsea and Arsenal, who is the first favourite to win the Europa League?

    At the bookies it's

    1. Chelsea
    2. Napoli
    3. Arsenal
  20. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Rennes 0-1 Arsenal

Mustafi hasn't come off yet but surely he will do. Hatem ben Arfa then beats another two men and powers into the area but then loses the ball. Sums him up really.
