St Johstone make two changes from the defeat to Hearts last weekend.

Matty Kennedy and Chris Kane drop to the bench, with David Wotherspoon and Danny Swanson coming in.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown is still missing with a hamstring problem, with manager Brendan Rodgers making a couple of changes from the 3-1 loss at Salzburg.

Filip Benkovic is back from injury and takes over from Jack Hendry in central defence, while Tom Rogic replaces Youssouf Mulumbu in midfield.

  7. Worries about the wind...published at 14:54 British Summer Time 7 October 2018

I was keeping an eye on the golf at St Andrews earlier and high winds were causing havoc as Lucas Bjerregaard came from behind to pip Tyrrell Hatton to the Dunhill Links title.

There are forecasts for gusts of up 40-50 mph across Scotland for the rest of the afternoon, which could make for a few hairy moments at Ibrox and McDiarmid Park.

  8. Rangers must give fans something to shout about - Gerrardpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 7 October 2018

    Rangers v Hearts (15:00)

Last weekend's loss at Livingston means Rangers are yet to win in four league trips on the road but they are a different beast at home.

In nine games in all competitions at Ibrox under Steven Gerrard, they are unbeaten, with eight victories.

In their three league outings at home so far they have taken maximum points and scored 11 goals.

And the stadium might still be shaking after Thursday's comeback win over Rapid Vienna, with two late goals sealing a 3-1 triumph.

"We'd love Ibrox to be bouncing and rocking again," said Gerrard earlier in the week. "I'm sure the supporters are going to be going to Ibrox in good spirits. But we also have to play our part. We can't start slow and wait for the crowd to lift us."

    Rangers v Hearts (15:00)

Hearts boss Craig Levein is confident his team can take something from Ibrox this afternoon and so he should be with six wins and draw in the league so far.

Speaking earlier this week, he said: "We've faced a number of tests, some of when we're strong favourites and some when we've not been.

"The pleasing thing for me is that we have managed to deal with everything that's been presented to us. I'm hopeful it is the same again, taking into account, of course, that Rangers' home form is the best in the league. That includes the European matches and they had another fantastic European result again in midweek.

"We're in good form and I feel we are ready and capable of going through to Glasgow and getting points. I think it'll be a great game, I really do, and I'm hopeful we can do enough to come out on top."

Rangers go with the same starting XI from Thursday's 3-1 success against Rapid Vienna.

Ryan Jack has recovered from injury to take his place among the home substitutes.

The visitors make one change from last weekend's 2-1 win over St Johnstone and it's a positive one, with towering striker Uche Ikpeazu back from a foot problem to take over from midfielder Callumn Morrison.

  13. High-scoring Saturdaypublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 7 October 2018

We had four top flight matches yesterday, delivering 16 goals.

Hibs hammered in six of those against hapless Hamilton, while Aberdeen shrugged off a long injury list to demolish St Mirren at Pittodrie.

Livingston kept up their great run thanks to a memorable equaliser from Keaghan Jacobs at Fir Park and Dundee remain rock bottom after a contentious penalty kept up Kilmarnock's remarkable away day record.

  14. Fantastic fixtures brighten up soggy Sundaypublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 7 October 2018

We're serving up a Sunday afternoon treat with two cracking matches in the Scottish Premiership.

League leaders Hearts are at Ibrox, while champions Celtic visit St Johnstone.

Despite the dreich weather, Ibrox should be rocking after a great Europa League win over Rapid Vienna, so this will be a real test of mettle for Craig Levein's in-form side.

Much has been made of Celtic's shaky start and Brendan Rodgers' team were made to work hard for a 1-0 League Cup win in Perth just 11 days ago.
