  1. 'The onus is on the home side'published at 20:20 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    Israel 0-1 Scotland

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

I don't think Scotland have to play with urgency. That's a really important goal. The penalty was brilliantly taken by Charlie Mulgrew.

The onus is on the home side to take the game to Scotland and Scotland are soaking up the pressure.

  2. Home fans unhappy with penalty decisionpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    Israel 0-1 Scotland

    Alasdair Lamont
    BBC Sport Scotland

Scotland are fortunate to be ahead on the balance of play, but that goal should allow Scotland to gain confidence. The home fans (and journalists) aren’t happy with the award of the penalty. They feel it was soft and the players continued to remonstrate with the referee after Charlie Mulgrew scored.

  3. YELLOW CARD Souttar (Scotland)published at 28 mins

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

John Souttar has not looked very comfortable so far and now he's on a booking after over-stretching into a tackle he really didn't need to make.

The Hearts defender will miss the next game away to Albania.

  4. 'He just smashes it'published at 20:14 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    Israel 0-1 Scotland

    Billy Dodds
    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

He just knew he was going to put his laces through it after missing his last one. He just smashes it. Charlie Mulgrew slams it home. Even if the keeper had gone the right way he wouldn't have saved it. It's a really well taken penalty.

  6. PENALTY TO SCOTLANDpublished at 23 mins

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

A push on Steven Naismith and Scotland have a penalty out of the blue.

Dor Peretz was the offender, with a daft challenge, and Israel captain Bibras Natcho is booked for his animated complaints.

  7. YELLOW CARD Ben Harush (Israel)published at 22 mins

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

Omri Ben Harush puts a forearm in the face of Johnny Russell and goes straight in the book.

  8. 'McGregor bails us out'published at 20:09 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

    Billy Dodds
    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

The worrying thing is he [Bibras Natcho] wasn't marked.

It was a free header but Allan McGregor bails us out as he has done on many occasions. He met it full on from seven yards out, it's good delivery from the corner and McGregor brings off an outstanding save.

  9. GOOD SAVE!published at 20:07 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

Scotland are in trouble from a corner again after an awkward clearance from John Souttar.

Bibras Natcho thumps in a powerful header from eight yards but it's straight at Allan McGregor and the Rangers keeper is able to push it away.

  10. 'They are not really hurting us'published at 20:05 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

    Billy Dodds
    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

We've got a flat back five when they have got comfortable possession which gives the midfield a hard job when you've got the five back.

They have men spare and are using the ball well. But then they are not really hurting us and that's Scotland's tactic, can we spring at the right time to put a bit of pressure on them?

  11. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

Most of the Scotland passing is sideways and backwards until a quick bit of thinking from Kevin McDonald springs Callum McGregor forward and the Celtic midfielder is able to stop the ball on the byline before prodding it back into the danger area but a defender in blue gets there first.

  12. Crowded house?published at 20:00 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

Press Association Scotland reporter Ronnie Esplin takes a snap shot of the crowd inside the stadium tonight.

Alex McLeish's side string a nice sequence of passes together inside the opposition half but strikers Steven Naismith and Johnny Russell have yet to get a glimpse of goal.

  14. 'Dabbur's movement created that'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 11 October 2018

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

    Billy Dodds
    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

[Munas] Dabbur's movement created that chance. he just flicked it diagonally towards the far corner but it just cleared Allan McGregor's crossbar.

We got caught on a short corner as well. There's no damage caused which is good but there are little concerns.

  15. CLOSE!published at 7 mins

    Israel 0-0 Scotland

Munas Dabbur is left all alone from Israel's second corner of the evening and the Salzburg striker steers an angled header just over the crossbar.

Steven: No replacements called up for Griffiths and Fraser? has Alex McLeish not seen Martin Boyle play for the past 3 years? baffling to lose him to Australia through, in my opinion, plain ignorance.

Anon: [Steven] Naismith & [Johnny] Russell. Could be a starting line-up for 10cc. 2-0 up at half-time will do us nicely.

  17. Postpublished at 4 mins

A dithering John Souttar is robbed by Munas Dabbur near the halfway line and the Israel striker slides a good pass in behind the Scotland defence but the visitors manage to recover.

    Israel v Scotland (19:45)

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

It will be a tough night. There will be a lot of pride and passion from Israel. It's a home game. They will be looking to put on as good a show as possible, they've got some decent players within the team and Scotland will have to be at their best.

These games, away from home, they are tough ties. If we are below par they will take advantage. A lot of these countries don't travel to well but at home they put on a good show.
