That was a brilliant save from Craig Gordon. He just flicked it off the post that's the save that keeps Celtic in this game.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 63 mins

    RB Leipzig 2-0 Celtic

Under little pressure, Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata inexplicably scoops the ball up in the air and sets up an attack for the home side. The ball is quickly worked to Jean-Kevin Augustin and the striker smashes in a low shot from 18 yards. Craig Gordon gets fingertips on it and the ball cannons off the base of the post.

    Great save!

That run by Konrad Laimer cut like a knife through the heart of the Celtic team. It brought the home fans to their feet and it has injected an energy into the RB Leipzig team again, which is ominous for Celtic.

The German side have already shown they can hit another gear if required. For the moment they are generally content with 2-0, but they continue to dominate the play.

More fireworks coming from the end housing Celtic fans. Another Uefa fine coming the way of the Scottish champions... I've lost count.

Olivier Ntcham is almost on his knees. He was really good against Hibs at the weekend but he looks very tired already

Konrad Laimer, a holding midfielder, slices through the Celtic side with ease, running from the halfway line past four or five opponents before fizzing a shot just wide from the edge of the box.

Celtic's first corner of the match is an anti-climax as Callum McGregor's delivery is cut out by a defender and the ball loops into the arms of goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.

  13. Postpublished at 48 mins

Jean-Kevin Augustin is in behind the Celtic defence but Dedryck Boyata sticks in a timely challenge before the striker can get a shot away.

  15. 'Real opportunity for Rangers'published at 18:57 British Summer Time 25 October 2018

    Rangers v Spartak Moscow (20:00)

    Kenny Miller
Former Scotland striker on BBC Radio Scotland

"Spartak have got rid of their manager and they can get the bounce factor - everybody pulls together. But you could get the other side of that as well.

"So it's important that, no matter which Spartak turn up, Rangers go about their business the same way as the last game against Rapid Vienna.

"And, if they do, it will put them in a very strong position to qualify. It is a real opportunity.

"In the last few weeks, they have found a player in Ryan Kent they were missing - a bit of creativity and pace in midfield."

  16. Celtic crumble - can they react?published at 18:54 British Summer Time 25 October 2018

    HT: RB Leipzig 2-0 Celtic

    Jonathan Sutherland
BBC Sport Scotland at the Red Bull Arena

There have been positives from Celtic for the majority of the first half - the system, the initial positivity shown by the fringe players and the general containment of RB Leipzig for the first half hour. But all of that now counts for very little.

The bottom line is that the home side have shown their class and the question now revolves around whether or not Celtic can retain enough confidence to avoid a tanking and - if possible - find a way to react and get back into this match. That looks a tall order with the German side now brimming with confidence.

  17. Celtic undone by 'suspect defending'published at 18:51 British Summer Time 25 October 2018

    HT: RB Leipzig 2-0 Celtic

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

The problem is the Celtic defence is suspect. Against this quality of opposition you can't afford to give them chances. All that good work that they put in in the the first half hour - and they've still got 45 minutes to navigate through - it won't be easy

  18. 'Rangers should expect three points'published at 18:48 British Summer Time 25 October 2018

    Rangers v Spartak Moscow (20:00)

    Alex Rae
Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Scotland

"Spartak's league position is rather false. They are sitting in fifth place, but they are only one point off second.

"They are a wealthy club and have spent over £10m on some players, so I don't think they will be a pushover.

"When they arrived in Glasgow yesterday, they were very stern and looked as if they were here to do the business. With the talent Spartak have got, I think it will be very even.

"But, with Rangers at home in front of a full house, you'd expect them to get three points and be in a really strong position in the group.

"Steven Gerrard will be looking to get a positive result going into the League Cup semi-final."

  19. Jack back for Rangerspublished at 18:46 British Summer Time 25 October 2018

    Rangers v Spartak Moscow (20:00)

Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard has made three changes from the side that won 4-1 away to Hamilton Accies on Sunday.

Rangers XI: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Worrall, Flanagan; Candeias, Jack, Coulibaly, Ejaria, Kent; Morelos

Substitutes: Foderingham, Katic, Halliday, McCrorie, Grezda, Middleton, Lafferty.
