    West Ham 0-0 Burnley

Burnley’s last two Premier League games have ended 0-5 (vs Man City) and 0-4 (vs Chelsea). Only two teams have ever lost three consecutive Premier League games by a margin of 4+ goals (West Ham in March 2008, Wigan in August 2010).

Can West Ham turn on the style today? They are on top in the early stages but haven't tested Joe Hart yet.

This is a massive game for Newcastle.

For Remembrance Sunday and the victims of the helicopter crash in Leicester last weekend - football in this country is paying respect today in the form of a minute's silence.

At all four Premier League grounds, players, wearing shirts with embroidered poppies and sporting black armbands, stand arm in arm.

At Cardiff, the entire Leicester playing and managerial staff are on the field.

In dedicating today's fixture to the memory of the five victims of the crash, Cardiff owner Vincent Tan pays tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and all at Leicester in the official programme. "We stand alongside them in memory of those lost last weekend," he writes. "The world of football lost a true pioneer and visionary".

West Ham v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

West Ham are a better team than they were last season but, at the moment, you would not say the same about Burnley.

Rather than chasing sixth or seventh place like last season, I think Burnley would be happy if they finished sixth or seventh from bottom this time.

    Prediction: 2-0

  14. 'Can't see this being 0-0'published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

West Ham v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    Jonathan Pearce
BBC Match of the Day commentator

For the winners a sip of claret - and the blues for the losers. This one is crucial.

West Ham have lost three of their last four in league and cup. Burnley have conceded nine goals in their last two. Both are better than their league position and form suggest. Anxiety is growing.

The fitness of Marko Arnautovic is key for West Ham. Javier Hernandez isn't suited to leading the line. If Arnautovic doesn't play, they'll struggle up front and also defending set-pieces.

Burnley aren't defending as a cohesive unit. Four of the last seven goals conceded have come from long shots, suggesting they're not pressing tightly enough.

Sean Dyche will cure that. Both teams will recover. I can't see this being 0-0!

Anthony Knockaert - an ex-Leicester player, now with Brighton - has paid his own tribute to the late Leicester owner during wam-up at Goodison Park.

"Thank you Vichai, I will miss you RIP" is his message, written on the back of his training top.

    Newcastle v Watford (15:00 GMT)

On paper, this is another Hornets victory but I just have a feeling that Newcastle's luck at St James' Park is going to turn.

The Magpies managed 27 shots without scoring in their defeat by Brighton in their last home game and, if they keep creating that many chances, a couple of them are going to go in.

    Prediction: 2-0

  17. 'Lies, damn lies, and statistics'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

    Newcastle v Watford (15:00 GMT)

    Alistair Mann
    MOTD commentator

The statistics don't paint an attractive picture for Newcastle - winless in their opening 10 games and with just six points earned from the last 45 available.

In stark contrast, Watford are enjoying their best ever start to a top-flight campaign, have won the last five meetings between these two sides and inflicted the Magpies' heaviest defeat at St James' Park last season.

Now before Newcastle fanatics become too pessimistic, it's worth remembering a phrase made famous by American author Mark Twain, who observed: "There are three types of lies - lies, damn lies, and statistics." The Toon Army will be hoping he was right.

  18. Lawro's predictionpublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

    Everton v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

Chris Hughton's side have now got a bit of a cushion between themselves and the bottom of the table but he will obviously want to keep chipping away and picking up points.

It is hard to see them getting anything at Goodison Park, though.

    Prediction: 2-0

  19. 'Two teams in confident mood'published at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

    Everton v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

A clash of clubs who've picked themselves up nicely in recent weeks and who should kick off in confident mood.

Everton will expect to win at home to shrug off their setback at Manchester United last time out, when better finishing might have brought a different result.

It also might have seen Marco Silva pip Chris Hughton for October's Manager of the Month award, but that will surely be given to the Brighton boss after a perfect month of three 1-0 wins.

Before their current winning run I had the Seagulls down as facing a battle to stay up, but they look a far too solid and settled side for that now.
