The Leicester players have just emerged from the tunnel for their warm-up. They're wearing white t-shirts with a picture of their late chairman and owner on the front.

They came out to a round of applause from both sets of supporters and immediately went over to their visiting supporters to show their thanks.

The first of many touching moments today, I'm sure.

The hashtag #TogetherForLeicester is on the ad boards all around the Cardiff City Stadium. I've spoken to early arrivals from Leicester who've said they had weird car journeys as nobody wants to talk about the actual football.

The Leicester players are planning to fly from Cardiff airport to Thailand directly after the match. The aim is to depart around 7pm and several members of staff are expected to join them on the flight.

    Cardiff v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock: "Originally I didn't think the game would go ahead, and if I'm totally honest I was hoping it wasn't going to.

"Monday and Tuesday this week, it was too emotional. But I understand now where they [Leicester] are and I think it's a good decision to go ahead with it now, because you've got to move on and you've got to get people back to normality as soon as possible."

Late drama at the Vitality. Manchester United have snatched a winner (or at least it should be) right at the end of the game.

Marcus Rashford has slotted in from close range two minutes into injury time.

  7. 'Honouring our chairman is most important thing'published at 14:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

    Cardiff v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

Leicester City manager Claude Puel: "This weekend, and all the matches thereafter, we play to honour a man who did so much for our club.

"The result is not important, but our desire, our actions to give our best on the pitch to honour our chairman, is the most important thing.

"We have a responsibility about the memory and the work he put in place. Vichai made Leicester City into what it is. He made it a family and made a dream and we must continue the Leicester City he built."

  17. 'We wanted to play'published at 13:39 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

    Cardiff v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

Leicester City's players want to play at Cardiff so they can honour the club's owner, says striker Jamie Vardy.

"We need to make sure we do him proud on the pitch," Vardy told BBC Football Focus.

"The boss [manager Claude Puel] gave us the option to do other things, whatever we felt best.

"Everyone came to a unanimous decision, we get out there and make sure we prepare for an important game.

"It was a tough decision [to play at Cardiff]. But knowing what Vichai would have wanted meant it was an easier decision to make.

"Every single player and staff member needed to play and wanted to play, and we need to make sure we do him proud on the pitch."

  18. 'Powerful motivation'published at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

    Cardiff v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

    Martin Fisher
    Match of the Day commentator

For once, the result of a Premier league match seems of little importance.

Last Saturday's tragic helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium reminded us all that football is only a game.

The loss of owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died along with four others, has been described as the darkest day in the history of Leicester City Football Club.

The outpouring of grief throughout the week from players, staff and supporters alike has underlined how highly regarded he was.

After the game Leicester's players intend to fly to Thailand for his funeral but first they intend to honour his memory on the pitch. As motivation, I can think of few things more powerful.

  19. Hello and welcomepublished at 13:29 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2018

It's important to remember that football is only a game.

Nowhere will this sentiment be felt more than in Cardiff this afternoon, where the Leicester players will take to the field for the first time since the death of club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

It has been a tough week for everyone involved with the Foxes - possibly their toughest - but today they get back to doing what they do best, and what Srivaddhanaprabha invested so much to make possible.
