    Rotherham 0-1 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder looked absolutely ecstatic when Mark Duffy put his side into the lead.

The Blades had a number of chances against rivals Sheffield Wednesday last time out but could not make any of them count.

    Rotherham 0-1 Sheff Utd

You said one could lay around 6,000 bottles of Henderson Relish end to end between Sheffield and Rotherham, but any fan of the black stuff knows that there are 6 bottles to the yard, so 10,560 bottles to the mile. So I'd need over 61,000 bottles. A mere 6,000 wouldn't reach the M1!

(I have to apologise here. I'm a big Hendos fan but my maths isn't so good, clearly. I've given my colleague Ian Woodcock a hospital pass. Matt)

Well, that was against the run of play.

It's been all Rotherham but a loose ball from home defender Semi Ajayi is won back in midfield by the Blades and the ball is fed through to Mark Duffy.

He still has a lot to do 20 yards from goal but shows wonderful close control to evade a couple of challenges, leave a few defenders on their backsides and clip in a lovely finish.

    Rotherham 0-0 Sheff Utd

Another early chance for the Millers.

They swarm forward and a cross is eventually half-cleared to Will Vaulks.

However, he takes a wild slash at the ball and it clears the crossbar by... Well, it's not close.

Chance inside the first minute for the hosts.

A hanging cross reaches Richie Towell at the back post but his shot lacks conviction and deflects into the arms of Blades goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

    Nice bright start.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

After a minute's applause for former Millers goalkeeper Gordon Morritt, who died this week at the age of 76, it's the hosts who get us under way at the New York Stadium.

There's also an early kick-off in League Two today.

Lincoln City looked to be running away with the division when they hammered Port Vale 6-2 on 16 October, to sit seven points clear of fourth-placed MK Dons with just 13 games playered.

However, the Imps have won just one of their past four games and saw the Dons overhaul them at the top of the league while they were sitting out last week when their game against Yeovil was postponed because of international call-ups.

Victory over fifth-placed Mansfield will see them go back to pole position but the Stags will present a tough task.

David Flitcroft's men are unbeaten in the league since 15 September.

While broadcasters and other media love to ramp up the excitement and hype around derbies, sometimes it's all a bit too much for the players and coaches.

While fans are whipped into a frenzy by the pre-match coverage, sometimes it's about simmering down in the dressing room.

"Even they are quite good at geography, so I know that they get it,” Millers boss Paul Warne told the club website., external

"More often than not for these games, the lads will need calming down a little rather than revving up."

The Millers and the Blades aren't the only South Yorkshire rivals facing off today, with promotion hopefuls Barnsley and Doncaster meeting in League One later on.

There are some tasty looking games among them too - Leeds v Bristol City, Swansea v Norwich and Stoke v QPR to name but three.

We'll be keeping you across all the action from the Championship, League One and League Two today from now until 19:30 GMT.

Whatever your day has in store for you rest assured, if it's happening in the EFL, we've got it covered.

Big city and proud town, near-neighbours, interlinked by the legacy of coal and steel. Just 5.8 miles separates Sheffield from nearby Rotherham as the crow flies.

That's approximately 5,961 bottles of Henderson's Relish laid end-to-end, if you're that way inclined.

And, just like that favoured South Yorkshire splash of sauce, there's plenty of spice to the meeting of Rotherham United and Sheffield United this afternoon.

The Millers are unbeaten in five but sit only two points above the relegation zone, while a win for the Blades will send them back to the top of the Championship.

Good afternoon and welcome to live text coverage of Saturday's EFL action, starting with a Yorkshire derby.
