Accrington 1-1 Sunderland - match abandoned in second half

The weather has been progressively worse throughout the afternoon at Accrington and the pitch is now waterlogged, which has led the officials to abandon the match.

Stanley had just equalised against the Black Cats when the game was halted.

    Wigan 0-1 Derby

Derby really are giving Wigan encouragement.

Despite being down to 10 men, the home side look more likely to score at the moment as on this occasion Sam Morsy and Josh Windass combine to lay off for Reece James.

Unfortunately for him, his strike was straight at Scott Carson.

GOAL: Stoke 2-0 Ipswichpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Joe Allen (62 mins)

Both times Ipswich have been on top in this match, they've conceded.

Stoke midfielder Joe Allen runs into the box unmarked to meet an inch-perfect cross from left-back Erik Pieters and fire home.

That should be that against bottom of the table.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Brentford 1-3 Swansea

Swansea's Connor Roberts smashes a shot against the woodwork after neat build-up with Barrie McKay.

Brentford are leaving themselves too exposed at the back as they search for a second goal.

    Wigan 0-1 Derby

Frank Lampard's young Derby side have attracted attention this season for their fearless, full-throttle style of play.

They lead 1-0 at 10-man Wigan, and seem content to control possession and wait for something to happen.

Are they showing a maturity to their game, or will they regret not going in for the kill? Wigan are certainly hanging in there.

  11. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-1 Blackburnpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

The 10 men of Boro are level and it's one of Tony Pulis' half-time changes - Britt Assombalonga - who scores an excellent goal.

He links up with strike partner Jordan Hugill and bends into the corner.

A stunner, and it's game on.

  12. CLOSE!published at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Brentford 1-3 Swansea

Swansea almost re-establish their three-goal cushion, but Brentford keeper Daniel Bentley denies Barrie McKay from close range.

The chance came after a quick break - the home side seem willing to throw a lot of bodies forward to try to get back in this game, and it could be their undoing.

  13. goal

GOAL: Norwich 2-0 Boltonpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Marco Stiepermann (59 mins)

    Leaders Norwich double their advantage.

Marco Stiepermann has looked a constant threat for the hosts and the German leathers in at the near post after a fine move involving Jamal Lewis and Mario Vrancic.

Bolton respond by bringing on Lloyd Dyer.

  14. goal

Swansea were 3-0 up in this game.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Leeds 2-1 QPR

So nearly a hat-trick for Leeds forward Kemar Roofe.

He only got his first goal on the stroke of half-time but he looks rampant now, his latest shot pushed around the post by QPR keeper Joe Lumley.

    Have the floodgates opened?

  18. Postpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Stoke 1-0 Ipswich

Jack Lankester is continuing to cause Stoke problems. This time he whips in a free-kick that was heading towards goal.

Stoke striker Benik Afobe just about gets enough on it so it goes behind for a corner, and not into the back of his own net.

Shortly afterwards it's Flynn Downes who tests Stoke keeper Jack Butland.

    Ipswich are well on top.
