Dwight Gayle has been the main man again for West Brom today.

The Baggies look in no danger against Rotherham, with the Millers' latest effort on goal resulting in Richie Towell firing high into the stand from long range.

Bolton had cleared the ball away in the build up to the goal thanks to David Wheater, but Brentford work it back to Neal Maupay finds the net with gusto from close range.

    Blackburn 0-0 Norwich

I mentioned earlier that Norwich were hanging on at Blackburn and the hosts must really be wondering if it's going to be one of those days.

This time Danny Graham heads just over from a corner.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke won't be happy with a draw either, although the Canaries do love a late goal...

    Derby 1-1 Bristol City

Bristol City look lively in this second half and Jamie Paterson has almost added to his tally.

Andreas Weimann runs down the left wing and crosses towards Paterson who just can't quite hit it right.

Derby will want to ease this early pressure from the visitors.

    Blackburn 0-0 Norwich

    Teemu PukkiImage source, PA

How is Norwich's day at Blackburn going?

Well, judging by top scorer Teemu Pukki (above), not great.

The visitors will go top with a win but they're hanging on a bit at Ewood Park at the moment.

  11. goal

GOAL: Rotherham 0-4 West Brompublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Dwight Gayle (54 mins)

A hat-trick for Dwight Gayle and what an afternoon he's having. It's his sixth career hat-trick as well.

The West Brom forward makes no mistake to add to his tally for the afternoon, this time pouncing on a spilled attempt to collect the ball from Millers keeper Marek Rodak to poke home.

That should have wrapped it up for the Baggies.

After Gareth Evans' penalty, Ronan Curtis has doubled Portsmouth's lead against 10-man Sunderland in that big game at the top of League One.

Sam Ricketts' Shrewsbury are in front against Coventry, while Ivan Toney has grabbed an equaliser for Peterborough against Walsall.

    Rotherham 0-3 West Brom

Over 2,500 West Brom fans have made the trip to Rotherham today and they will be chuffed with what they've seen so far.

Can the Millers mount an unlikely comeback? They win an early free-kick through Ryan Manning but it comes to nothing.

  15. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 1-1 Sheff Utdpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Billy Sharp (47 mins)

He went close twice in the first half and had an effort ruled out for offside but Billy Sharp finally has his goal!

It's simple enough, the veteran marksman stooping to head home an Oliver Norwood cross.

    Gareth Evans pen (48 mins)

Gareth Evans converts and the League One leaders are ahead.

    HT: Portsmouth 0-0 Sunderland

We expected good things from this potential cracker in League One, but it's not quite lived up to the billing.

No shots on target in the first half.

The Cambridge United fans that have made the long trip to Morecambe today have been given an early Christmas present by the club's board...

They could yet be taking three points back down the various roads they'll be taking to get home (I'm not a human sat nav) as it's currently 0-0 in Colin Calderwood's first game in charge of the U's.

  20. QPR on course...published at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Nottingham Forest 0-1 QPR

    Owen Phillips
BBC Sport at the City Ground

QPR haven’t won in 34 attempts at the City Ground.

Steve McClaren, who once briefly managed Nottingham Forest, is the man leading the attempt to break the worst away hoodoo in English football.

Rangers were forced to defend for much of the first period.

So it was blindingly obvious QPR would snatch a goal in the 45th minute.

A few boos at the City Ground at the end of the half. This wasn't part of Forest's pre-Christmas build-up.
