    Hull 0-1 Swansea

Barrie McKay sends a neat ball in towards Wilfried Bony from inside the box and the Swansea man attempts a bicycle kick with his back to goal but it sails over.

Unfortunately that didn't go in because if it did, that would have given this match some added spice. And I think it could do with it about now!

  2. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Hull 0-1 Swansea

A showpiece game of football, this is not.

Swansea forward Wilfried Bony heads the ball down and it falls into the path of Connor Roberts who makes an optimistic effort to turn and shoot from outside the box and he misses the ball altogether.

  3. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Hull 0-1 Swansea

Kamil Grosicki has just mishit a cross and out for a Swansea goal kick and that just about sums up their first half so far.

It's not going the hosts way as yet, but there's plenty of time to find a way back into this game.

  4. Gayle takes home the matchballpublished at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    FT: Rotherham 0-4 West Brom

Dwight Gayle scored a hat-trick in West Bromwich Albion's 4-0 win at Rotherham earlier today.

As a former defender, though, boss Darren Moore will be just as pleased with only a second clean sheet in the league this season!

  5. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Hull 0-1 Swansea

This is a game of fine margins and as yet, Swansea haven't yet made a mistake at the back to let Hull have a realistic chance on goal.

The hosts have dominated possession after Wilfried Bony's early goal for the Swans, but it's the visitors who look more likely to score next.

  6. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Hull 0-1 Swansea

Kamil Grosicki gallops down the left wing as Hull try to make their way back into this game but his cross into the box is well covered by a combination of Swansea goalkeeper Erwin Mulder and Connor Roberts.

That's a step in the right direction from the hosts!

    Hull 0-1 Swansea

That early Swansea goal has inspired the home support into getting behind their team, with the atmosphere picking up a bit compared to the early stages.

As yet, there's been little to get excited about as Hull haven't managed a shot on goal.

Swansea boss Graham Potter will be the happier of the two managers thus far after that early goal from Wilfried Bony.

    Hull 0-1 Swansea

One for the footballing geeks such as myself who love a good bassy noise as goals fly in, there.

Not sure what it was exactly but when Wilfried Bony scored that goal just now, there was a lovely deep THUD picked up by the pitchside television microphones.

Oof! It's the little things, eh?

  9. Reading appoint Gomespublished at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018
    Breaking

We wondered earlier on if Reading would have a new man in charge for their game against Millwall on 26 December and we have our answer.

The Royals have appointed Jose Manuel Gomes as their new boss as they look to avoid relegation to League One.

The Berkshire side fell to a 1-0 defeat by promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough earlier today.

    Well that didn't take long!

Wilfried Bony has given Swansea the lead in impressive fashion and marks his first start for a year with a tremendous goal.

He picks up possession on the edge of the box and thunders an effort past Hull keeper David Marshall.
