    League Two

Down in League Two, as it stands Lincoln City, MK Dons and Colchester - who made up the top three at the start of the day - are all losing.

And now another huge goal at the bottom of the table too - and it goes the way of Macclesfield!

Sol Campbell's side lead Notts County, who could finish the day bottom of the English Football League.

GOAL: Sheff Utd 3-1 Derbypublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leon Clarke (84 mins)

Frank Lampard's face is a picture of anger and frustration, as finally Sheffield United look to have put this game to bed.

Leon Clarke guided it in, close range, to defy Scott Carson and seal this. Blades leapfrog the Rams with this. It's big in terms of promotion hopes here.

  4. CLOSE!published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

Hull almost lead against the run of play!

Fraizer Campbell picks the pocket of a Preston defender and finds Kamil Grosicki, who's first-time effort is just inches wide.

People were still planning their Halloween costumes the last time Norwich lost a game in the Championship let alone finishing off turkey leftovers, but that wonderful run is coming to an end tonight.

Matty Cash tucked away a perfect cut-back into the bottom right corner, Tim Krul floundering.

Forest fans absolutely bouncing now. Not a good festive day out for the Canaries, who look as cooked as a Delia Smith roast.

    Sheff Utd 2-1 Derby

Jack O'Connell got away with a blatant handball there on the edge of the Sheffield United box as Derby came threatening.

Just flicked the ball away with his hand.

Down the other end Billy Sharp just guided his header wide of the target, as the hosts seek a third to kill it off.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Millwall 1-0 Reading

So nearly an equaliser for 10-man Reading, and what a special one it would've been!

John Swift tries his luck from a 30-yard free-kick and it strikes the bar, with Yakou Meite missing the follow-up.

Millwall go up the other end... and Jake Cooper hits the post! Madness.

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Sheff Wed

Sub Marcus Tavernier and Daniel Ayala have attempts for Boro in the space of a minute as the hosts start turning the screw.

Wednesday have been unlucky with injuries - they lost Lucas Joao in the first half and his replacement Josh Onomah has also been forced off.

  11. goal

GOAL: West Brom 2-0 Wiganpublished at 16:31 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Jay Rodriguez (70 mins)

Two for Jay Rodriguez. The first was aerial prowess, the second a thunderous, half-volley rocket from range.

Super, super goal from the forward. Wigan fans will ponder the trip home, Baggies can relish gaining ground on the top two, who are drawing (Leeds) and losing (Norwich).

  12. goal

GOAL: Norwich 0-2 Nott'm Forestpublished at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Jack Robinson (64 mins)

Massive goal at the top of the Championship...

Norwich's hopes of going to the summit tonight look pretty slim now as Jack Robinson smashed in after the Canaries failed to clear a Forest attack.

Forest double the lead. Norwich's fine run is really under the pump now.

Preston are full of confidence, so much so that Lukas Nmecha goes for an overhead kick which is again kept out by tireless Hull keeper David Marshall.

At the other end Jackson Irvine goes down under a challenge but the Hull man is not given the penalty he wants.

Birmingham are still in front against Stoke, but they're not having it all their own way.

Joe Allen has just come so, so close to equalising, seeing a shot deflect inches wide of the post.

    West Brom 1-0 Wigan

West Brom v WiganImage source, Getty Images

Fans in the Smethwick End might well be asking for their money back because much of the play in this second half has been played at the opposite part of the ground.

It's been near one-way traffic as West Brom, who are the only top five side from the beginning of the day who are currently winning.

Gavin Massey did go close a moment ago for Wigan on a rare foray forward. It's been glum viewing for the most part though.

  16. Notts County level against Macclesfieldpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    League Two

A priceless goal for Notts County.

The Magpies, one place above Sol Campbell's Macclesfield at the bottom of League Two, have levelled things up at Meadow Lane.

At the other end of the table, Mansfield are 1-0 up against Bury and heading into the automatic promotion places.

  17. goal

GOAL: Swansea 0-1 Aston Villapublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Conor Hourihane (65 mins)

He'd been denied twice in this second half but there was no stopping that header from Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane!

Alan Hutton - the Scottish Cafu - marauds down the left and hangs one up for Irishman Hourihane to power past Swansea stopper Erwin Mulder.

  18. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 2-1 Derbypublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    David McGoldrick (63 mins)

    Sheff UtdImage source, Rex Features

Blades back in front! I've seen some wonderful through-balls in my time, peeled off the boot in perfect fashion but the headed one which put David McGoldrick through was outstanding.

The Sheffield United striker might have been offside but he managed to get there ahead of the Derby defence, lifted the ball over Scott Carson and wheeled away to celebrate with the fans.

How big a goal could that be? I'm not writing Derby off yet.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018
