  1. CLOSE!published at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Derby

    Harry WilsonImage source, Rex Features

Harry Wilson almost defies physics with a free-kick which moved to the right and then like a mid-air off-break just shifted to the left and almost caught out Dean Henderson in the Blades goal.

Freakish. He's trying to win this on his own.

  2. ALL KICKING OFFpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Derby

You don't see the unflappably cool Frank Lampard getting irate too often, but he and the gum-chomping Chris Wilder just shared a few exchanges...

What you might call 'dialogue'. All this edge is spreading to the bench.

  3. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 1-1 Brentfordpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Neal Maupay (53 mins)

We mentioned a few minutes ago that Brentford have been well used to peppering Bristol City's goal in recent seasons - and now Neal Maupay has made one of those attempts count.

The Bees' top goalscorer has volleyed Ollie Watkins' cross into the roof of the net to make it 1-1 at Ashton Gate.

    Swansea 0-0 Aston Villa

Villa on top in the early stages of the second half at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea's Erwin Mulder has been forced into two saves from Conor Hourihane free-kicks.

    Still no breakthrough, though.

  5. Barnsley double their advantagepublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    League One

And here's another important goal at the top of League One for you - Cauley Woodrow has put Barnsley 2-0 in front against fellow promotion hopefuls Peterborough.

Bristol Rovers, by the way, are now 3-1 up at Walsall.

  6. Postpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Derby

Frustration for Sheffield United who work a lovely move down the left but the cross was cut out, and the loose ball on the edge of the box was thrashed over harmlessly by Oliver Norwood.

    Good response from the Blades.

    It's testy.

    QPR 2-0 Ipswich

QPR aren't quite home and dry.

Joe Lumley scrambles across his goal to keep out Trevoh Chalobah's curling shot from the edge of the area.

The resulting Ipswich corner comes to nothing.

  8. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Sheff Wed

Sarcastic cheers from the home faithful as Boro have a shot - Paddy McNair fires well over from range.

West Brom started the day one place above the hosts but have scored twice as many goals.

It's obvious where Middlesbrough's problems lie.

  9. Luton marching onpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    League One

    LutonImage source, Rex Features

Luton's fans may have been made to endure a nasty little trip to Scunthorpe on Boxing Day, but the Hatters are in fine form at Glanford Park.

Harry Cornick has put League One's second-placed side 2-0 up right at the start of the second half.

  10. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 1-1 Derbypublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Harry Wilson (52 mins)

Harry Wilson. Eeesh. Right out of the top drawer. In fact it was so filthy a hit it could even be described as top shelf. X-rated. X-factor.

Twenty yards out, right side of the box, Wilson just bent it into the far corner. Absolute zinger.

Scuffle and melee ensued after, resulting in a booking for Derby's Richard Keogh. Feisty.

  11. Postpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Derby

Sheffield Untied appeal for a penalty as David McGoldrick races through and tries to clip the ball over Scott Carson.

He had the beating of Fikayo Tomori as he glided into the box, but could argue he was hauled back... no penalty.

Derby get a free-kick at the other end... danger. Third time lucky for Harry Wilson?

  12. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-1 Hullpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Alan Browne (47 mins)

    Preston level.

Goal number eight of the season for midfielder Alan Browne, who finds the top corner from 20 yards.

If Alex Neil gave his players the 'hairdryer treatment' at half time, it worked.

  13. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    QPR 2-0 Ipswich

Ipswich keeper Dean Gerken is busy once again, thwarting Luke Freeman after the QPR man fashions some space.

Steve McClaren's side seem in the mood for more goals.

  14. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Bristol City 1-0 Brentford

    BrentfordImage source, Rex Features

Bristol City may be in front against Brentford, but the Bees had a decent chunk of that first half, mustering eight shots on goal.

In fact, the Bees have now had 35 shots in their past 135 minutes of football at Ashton Gate - having absolutely dominated the Robins in beating them 1-0 last season.

  15. goal

GOAL: Leeds 1-1 Blackburnpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Charlie Mulgrew pen (46 mins)

Blackburn strike back early in the second half, creating pressure in the box and forcing a handball from Luke Ayling, which presented a spot-kick opportunity.

No change of Charlie Mulgrew missing, he's got a hammer of a boot and made no mistake. In those kits, it's Men at Work. Level.

Livens things up at the top of the Championship.

  16. PENALTY - Blackburnpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leeds 1-0 Blackburn

Handball by Luke Ayling in the box, Blackburn spot kick!

And before you know it we start getting back under way in most of our games across the EFL.

Leeds going four points clear at the top of the Championship as things stand - but there's a lot of time for things to change!

  18. All the ball but no real threat from Swanseapublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    HT: Swansea 0-0 Aston Villa

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Liberty Stadium

Swansea have dominated much of this game - particularly in terms of possession - but they've struggled to create genuine scoring opportunities.

Villa, by contrast, have been without the ball for long periods but have had the best chance of the opening 45 minutes as former Swan Tammy Abraham nodded the ball down to John McGinn, whose powerful close-range effort was somehow saved by Erwin Mulder.
