And now Mo Salah goes close. A Liverpool corner finds the Egyptian in acres of space near the back post but his headed effort is clawed out and held by Foster.

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

Palace celebrate as they think they lead at Old Trafford, but their joy is short lived.

Luka Milivojevic clips in a free-kick from the left which takes an age to get into the box.

Cheikhou Kouyate outmuscles Victor Lindelof to nod home a finish, but from an offside position.

The correct decision, he was off by half a yard.

Oh, cracking acrobatic effort from Sadio Mane. The ball is chipped into the box and Mane has a man for company but he chests the ball and then bicycle kicks an effort that Foster saves.

Matt: Dreadful but predictable, watching on BBC Sport from a Saints fan in a pub in Putney. Not only could I not get a ticket but another dismal lacklustre effort from Saints when it comes to protecting a lead

Another shot, this time for Watford. Roberto Pereyra's rising effort is palmed away by the diving Alisson.

Suddenly this game has sparked into life.

It is scandalous, it is a scandalous dive, James Maddison is running at his opponent and he is trying to buy a penalty and the referee is right on it - it is the correct decision.

    How Fulham needed that.

Aleksandar Mitrovic has been their stand-out figure in a disappointing start to the season and he has the first goal of the Claudio Ranieri era.

Southampton manager Mark Hughes has been offering up some anguished expressions on the touchline and there will be more after some statuesque defending there.

Fulham's fans really into this now.

As billed, the two numbers 13s - Yerry Mina and Callum Paterson - are in a right old battle. The two go shoulder to shoulder, which is like Earthquake v Typhoon in the old WWF, with neither budging an inch. It needs the ref to step in and clam the situation down.

As a side-note, Paterson is sporting a superb moustache, presumably for Movember.

    Leroy Sane (34 mins)

Oh my, delightful. West Ham being torn to shreds.

Leroy Sane set up Raheem Sterling earlier and the Englishman repays his team-mate this time.

Sterling caresses a cross across the box for the German and he has work to do but does it beautifully, taking a touch, sending defender Fabian Valbuena and goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski onto their backsides with his turn and rolling a finish into the net.

    Stunning stuff from the champions.

    Back in the game!

The Ranieri era is alive and kicking.

It is a lovely goal as well, following a sweeping move that releases Maxime Le Marchand down the left and his cross is glanced in beautifully by the head of the Nations League's top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Ranieri allows himself an air punch.

    West Ham 0-2 Man City

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC Final Score

At Arsenal we would spend hours and hours defending situations in a back four and we worked on body shape and positions in in the box.

Not one of the West Ham players are marking well enough. You have to think, it is Leroy Sane crossing the ball, you know he is going to beat his opponent so mark in the box, it is not an excuse, these Manchester City players are world class players and they are currently being given the victory.

Half-chance for Everton. A corner is only half cleared and falls to Andre Gomes but his angled shot flies into the side-netting. It's not much, but it's not far off the best we've had so far.
