The new Harry Winks? Who was the new Tom Carroll. Who was the new Ryan Mason.

  3. Team newspublished at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Spurs v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

Tottenham give 18-year-old midfielder Oliver Skipp his first start - in one of five changes.

Kieran Trippier is back from a groin problem, with Ben Davies, Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura all coming back in.

Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min are among the subs.

Spurs: Lloris, Trippier, Rose, Alderweireld, Davies, Skipp, Sissoko, Alli, Moura, Lamela, Kane. Subs: Gazzaniga, Son, Winks, Walker-Peters, Llorente, Eriksen, Eyoma.

Burnley make two changes - one enforced. Aaron Lennon faces his former team in place of benched forward Chris Wood.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson has a hamstring injury so Kevin Long takes his place in the team.

Steven Defour remains out with a calf problem.

Burnley: Hart, Taylor, Long, Tarkowski, Mee, Bardsley, Cork, Westwood, Lennon, Brady, Barnes. Subs: Heaton, Lowton, Vokes, Wood, Hendrick, Gibson, Vydra.

    Debuts, debuts, debuts.

Premier League managers are handing out early Christmas gifts to their lesser-experienced players.

Oliver Skipp making his first Tottenham start is the key bit of team news, while Palace hand a debut to Spanish keeper Vicente Guaita.

Elsewhere, Callum Wilson is back for Bournemouth... on the bench. And another England striker - Jamie Vardy - returns from injury to start for Leicester.

    Full team news to come...

  7. 'It's a six-pointer'published at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Huddersfield v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

It's a six-pointer. Newcastle haven't been pleasing on the eye this season. You can see there's tension between the owner and Rafael Benitez.

Huddersfield, I believe in second-season syndrome. The adrenaline can take you through the first season. Did some players get a bit too comfortable and complacent without new players coming in during the season? I think Huddersfield fans will be very happy if they finish 17th.

    Huddersfield v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

This is a tough game to call.

Huddersfield's result against Wolves was a crazy one. David Wagner sees his team everyday in training and will know if the tide is turning. Losing Aaron Mooy is a problem in itself.

It won't be the greatest game, but it is a monster of a game. It is an early six-pointer.

This one may prop up MOTD tonight...

Huddersfield haven't scored more than once in any of their last 13 Premier League home games.

Meanwhile, a league-low 35 goals have been scored in matches involving Newcastle - 13 for and 22 against.

  12. 'Not the Benteke we used to see'published at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

Crystal Palace v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

    Nigel Reo-Coker
Former West Ham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

I think Christian Benteke has been very disappointing for Crystal Palace, he hasn't done enough. He's lost all his confidence. He doesn't look like the old Christian Benteke we used to see.

  13. 'Zaha and Townsend should score more'published at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

Crystal Palace v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on Radio 5 live

Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend should score more goals.

Townsend has never scored more than four goals in a Premier League season which is not good enough for someone who plays up there.

  14. 'We need to encourage Iheanacho'published at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

Crystal Palace v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

    Kelechi IheanachoImage source, PA

If Kelechi Iheanacho still believes in Santa Claus then he has probably asked him for a sackful of goals.

The Leicester striker has only netted 10 goals in 46 appearances since joining from Manchester City in a £25m move last season... you can do the cost-per-goal maths.

And it led to some Foxes fans sarcastically jeering the Nigeria international when he was substituted in last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.

"After the price of a player, it's not their fault. For me we cannot have a relation between the player and his price. He didn't ask anything," Leicester manager Claude Puel says.

"We need to encourage this player because they have a lot of responsibility.

"He cannot realise a fantastic career if he cannot have a strong personality."

  16. 'Someone needs to stand up and start scoring'published at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

Crystal Palace v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

The omens aren't good for Crystal Palace today. Wilfried Zaha is not playing.

And Palace have lost every league fixture since September 2016 - a run of 13 games - when their talisman hasn't played.

"It's a problem in that Wilf has scored, but he's not been prolific either," Palace manager Roy Hodgson says.

"We're not scoring a lot of goals, but we're not letting a lot in either, apart from the last two games.

"The bottom line is we need to improve on the goalscoring front, take our chances more. We're not a particularly defensive team, but someone needs to stand up and start scoring."

  18. Lawro's predictionspublished at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Mark Lawrenson

Lawro is up against some French flair in his predictions this week - in the shape of his old mate David Ginola.

The pair worked together at Newcastle in the 1990s when Lawro was a coach at St James Park and Ginola was one of the star attractions.

Although Ginola's style didn't quite fit Lawro's expectations, they have both agreed on something this weekend - how they think Newcastle will do at Huddersfield.

Nope, we're not talking about Liverpool v Manchester United. Manana, manana.

Today's big game, arguably, is the clash on the other side of t'Pennines.

They battled for promotion to the Premier League. They battled to stay in it last season. And both Huddersfield and Newcastle are battling for survival again.

Look up a definition of 'six pointer' on your favoured internet search engine and this fixture will come up at the top.
