    Leicester 1-1 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

Brilliant interception from Laporte, Vardy is a danger to any defence in the world in that position. On this occasion though, just as he got his shot in, Laporte’s outstretched left leg got the block.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle

Daniel Sturridge is on for Liverpool - he has been directly involved in eight goals in his last nine games against Newcastle in the Premier League (seven goals and one assist).

He's smiling, and dabbing, and all sorts. That's what Paul Pogba can do - create goals and score goals. United are looking dangerous again.

I like how Solskjaer celebrated for five seconds but then pointed to his head, saying to the players 'concentrate'.

  4. Postpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Man Utd 2-0 Huddersfield

Luke Shaw has a chance to score his second goal for anybody ever but it's straight at Jonas Lossl from 20 yards.

  5. Postpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Cardiff

It's another chance - and it shouldn't surprise any of us that it's not a goal.

Palace sub Connor Wickham - on for Max Meyer - is free in the box but shoots wide from about eight yards out.

  6. Postpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leicester 1-1 Man City

Brilliant defending! City are nearly undone by a fine James Maddison pass, Jamie Vardy is clear but as he gets a shot away Aymeric Laporte slides full length to block it. Had to get that right. And he did.

Sergio Aguero then carries the ball downfield but shoots over. Still a good watch - could go either way!

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Burnley 1-3 Everton

Everton miss a chance to make it 4-1 through Dominic Calvert-Lewin. And now Burnley make a double change. Goalscorer Ben Gibson and Jeff Hendrick are off.

Dwight McNeil and Johann Gudmundsson are on.

  8. goal

    Harry Kane (61 mins)

Tottenham are pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Christian Eriksen goes direct, unchallenged in midfield he drops off and pops a quarterback style pass over the top into the run of Harry Kane. He lets the ball come over his left shoulder and just pops the bal past Asmir Begovic.

Fine finish. 10 (TEN) goals in two games for Spurs...

  9. Postpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leicester 1-1 Man City

Remarkable footwork from Raheem Sterling to keep the ball alive inside the penalty area and find Sergio Arguero, he cuts it back and Wes Morgan is a mountain to stop Leroy Sane from steering it home....

  10. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 2-0 Huddersfieldpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Paul Pogba (64 mins)

The age of Jose Mourinho is well and truly over as Paul Pogba doubles United's lead.

It's great from Juan Mata who bursts past two defenders into the box and pulls it back to fellow Spaniard Ander Herrera. He pokes it on first time to Pogba, who sweeps the ball in between the keeper and post.

Huddersfield's second change as Collin Quaner replaces Isaac Mbenza up front.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Man Utd 1-0 Huddersfield

What a save from United captain David de Gea. It's a clever corner from Huddersfield as Laurent Depoitre pulls away from the Red Devils defence to take a first-time looping shot towards the top corner, which De Gea tips away.

  14. No cohesion in City defencepublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leicester 1-1 Man City

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on Final Score

There's been too many changes in the City defence. They haven't had a set back four or three for a long time. There's no cohesion there.

Going forward they're great but at the back, they will still concede goals - at the moment anyway.

  15. Postpublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Leicester 1-1 Man City

Harry Maguire, a rock. He goes into the book for a robust challenge on Bernardo Silva but is well placed to cut out a couple of dangerous Kevin de Bruyne crosses.

    Into the last half hour...

  16. Postpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Cardiff

Will anyone ever score? Palace's Max Meyer breaks into the box but then skews his shot into the side of the net from 14 yards.

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Tottenham 3-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth have the ball in the net but Junior Stanislas was clearly offside as he swept in a low cross. No dice for the Cherries.

  18. Postpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2018

    Man Utd 1-0 Huddersfield

Nemanja Matic picks out Marcus Rashford in space in the box but his first shot is blocked and follow-up header isn't great.

United are *maybe* starting to take control of this game again.

Anonymous: Re Gary 16:07. Sounds like someone didn't get anything nice for Christmas this year! Bitter!

Dan, London: Sorry, are people actually suggesting Liverpool are top because of luck? Everyone still on the sherry??!?

Rob in Chelmsford: So bored of Liverpool fans moaning about how every other team dives when their players go to ground so easily. You should take a look at your own team.

    Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle

I just saw another replay of the Liverpool penalty - it's very, very soft indeed. Mo Salah made a right Christmas meal of the slightest contact. He tucked it away very nicely.
