    Finally Newcastle see sense.

Jamaal Lascelles is subbed and is replaced by Isaac Hayden.

Lascelles' night only lasts 11 minutes. Did he warm-up properly at half-time? Who knows.

There looks to be a little disagreement between him and Rafa as he makes his way off. Newcastle could be without a key player for their league campaign if that injury is serious.

    Get him off.

This is ridiculous. Lascelles' injury nearly costs Newcastle. He makes a right mess of a clearance, looking badly hampered by the hamstring, and Blackburn almost get in.

Rafa is shouting at his captain who waves his arms in response. No change yet.

Lascelles can hardly run. Blackburn need to play one over the top of the centre-back.

He's hobbling around like Andy Murray.

    Blackburn 2-2 Newcastle

Fabian Schar has been Newcastle's best player by far.

He feeds Matt Ritchie with a lovely through ball and the winger turns and fires a shot on goal. It's a fizzing effort but is a little too high.

Lascelles is continuing for now by the way but does not look right.

Sheffield Wednesday open the scoring straight away at the start of the second half. A long ball is played into the box, Steven Fletcher takes it down and then Atdhe Nuhiu is there to poke home, via a deflection.

    Oh dear.

Jamaal Lascelles has come on at half-time for Newcastle and has just sprinted and then immediately clutched his hamstring.

    Rafa Benitez looks worried.

Back under way at Ewood. This could be a cracker now.

It's a big test for Newcastle's youngsters after being dragged back to 2-2 from 2-0 up.

Jamaal Lascelles has come on at the break for Ciaran Clark.

Things are going a whole lot better tonight for Nathan Jones than in his first game in charge - a 3-1 defeat at Brentford.

Jones' side are comfortable with a couple of minutes to go until half-time.

    Tyrese Campbell

There is the second for Stoke and it's Tyrese Campbell again!

It comes from a Stoke corner where Luke Waterfall makes a poor defensive header. He doesn't get enough distance on it and Campbell is there to volley into the back of the net.

First senior start and two goals. Not bad from 19-year-old.

BBC Radio 5 live reporter at Ewood Park

Newcastle were dominating, now it is Blackburn asking the questions. Quite an astonishing turnaround. Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray is stood with his arms crossed at the edge of his technical area. I wonder what his message will be at half-time now?
