    Leeds 2-0 Derby

Some neat build-up play from Leeds on the edge of the Derby box, retaining possession with ease and probing for an opening.

And there's almost and end product to. Jack Clarke slips in Jamie Shackleton on the right but he seems to be caught in two minds and his strike goes well wide of the far post.

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

Leeds defender Pontus Jansson escapes marker Richard Keogh but his header is off target.

There's plenty of grappling and shirt-pulling going on at set-pieces.

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

The changes have disrupted the play a bit but Leeds are still on top. Fikayo Tomoro does well to crowd out Kemar Roofe at the near post. Corner to Leeds.

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

Leeds make a change now. Another homegrown youngster is on. Jamie Shackleton replaces Jack Harrison.

The Leeds fans applaud and cheer both men very loudly.

Oh dear. That doesn't look good when it's slowed down. Leeds keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell leaves his foot high as he challenges Duane Holmes. A bit naughty or accidental?

Nothing given though as the officials didn't see anything.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

George Evans comes off for Florian Jozefzoon. More pace in forward areas for Derby who have to do something special to buck the trend here.

By the way, I downplayed the quality of the approach work by Jack Clarke for the second Leeds goal. More wonderful wingplay from the teenager, who has been superb tonight.

He's only 18 and is some talent. The home fans love him. You can see why.

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

There's another penalty shout for Leeds, but although Tom Lawrence stands on Jack Harrison's foot, does that really mean he has to go over like that? Is every contact a penalty? You could easily see it given, but I'm glad it wasn't.

Not an intentional foul and not a reason to go down. Maybe I am being harsh on the Leeds man?

  10. YELLOW CARD (Roofe)published at 54 mins

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

Kemar Roofe goes into the ref's notebook for a late challenge on Richard Keogh. Like I said, it's getting livelier by the minute.

Tackles are flying in again. Derby's Tom Lawrence launches into another one that can be kindly classed as keen.

Almost an instant reply. What was the Leeds keeper doing?

Bailey Peacock-Farrell races out of his goal and is almost on he halfway as he gets in the way of David Nugent who was breaking clear.

Nugent came on at half-time by the way. The early Leeds goal delayed that revelation. Sorry. Andre Wisdom, who was on a yellow card, has gone off.

  13. goal

GOAL: Leeds 2-0 Derbypublished at 47 mins

    Jack Harrison

That might have torn it from a Derby perspective.

A long cross is not dealt with by keeper Scott Carson, who panicked and knocked the ball into the path of Ezgjan Alioski, and he scuffs a cross back to Jack Harrison who cannot miss from all of about two yards.

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Leeds 1-0 Derby

    Here we go again...

It was getting spikier as the game wore on. Expect more of the same. If I were a betting man, I would have a few quid on a red card at some point.

    HT: Leeds 1-0 Derby

A plaque to honour the first black player to feature in an FA Cup final has been unveiled at Elland Road.

Albert Johanneson played 200 times for Leeds United from 1961 to 1969 and appeared in the 1965 Wembley final.

The plaque was unveiled ahead of tonight's game against Derby.

Forest part company with another boss

It's not going great for Derby or their fiercest rivals Nottingham Forest who have had another day of managerial upheaval, culminating in Aitor Karanka leaving the City Ground.

Rams supporters will not be enjoying the latest upset down the A52. They are all the best of friends. No really.

  18. Are Leeds about to end their poor run?published at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2019

    HT: Leeds 1-0 Derby

Things are going according to plan for Leeds who, for all their success so far this season, are on their worst run of form in almost a year.

Consecutive Championship losses against Hull City and Nottingham Forest - as well as last Saturday's FA Cup defeat at QPR - mean Leeds have lost three in succession for the first time since they went on a poor run after losing at Newport County in the FA Cup last year.

That cup setback began a run of just two wins in 20 matches between January and April.

It's one-way traffic at Elland Road. Leeds have one goal, should have had a penalty and have totally dominated possession and territory without creating too much else.

It's a decent enough game, but the "spygate" talk is casting a very big shadow over proceedings.
