  5. Barcelona on formpublished at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

Barcelona v Celta Vigo (17:30 GMT)

Barca have won their last four league games on the bounce, as well as winning their last two by an aggregate score of 9-0.

And a certain Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick against Levante last Sunday in a devastating display.

But can Celta Vigo halt their momentum? Barca have only recorded two wins in their last six against the visitors - though both were by a 5-0 scoreline.

Barcelona v Celta Vigo (17:30 GMT)

With Real Madrid in Club World Cup action, Barcelona have the chance to move eight points clear of their bitter rivals in La Liga.

Going into the weekend, Ernesto Valverde's side sat three points clear of Sevilla and Atletico Madrid at the summit - a gap that has just been bridged by Atletico with a narrow 1-0 win over Espanyol.

Barcelona can restore their three point lead with victory tonight, while Sevilla face the task of keeping pace against Leganes tomorrow afternoon.

John McEnerney: Club World Cup waste of time but for Real this will probably be the only silverware they’ll win this season. A shadow of the side that won the Champions League in May. More or less the same personnel except for Cristiano Ronaldo and they’re gone to the dogs.
