Still goalless in tonight's other quarter-final, Jordan Hugill has gone closest to breaking the deadlock for the Championship side.

    Leicester 0-1 Man City

Leicester were very passive in the opening 15-20 minutes but they are at least getting into the faces of the visitors now. Hamza Choudhury gets the crowd on their feet with a superb sliding tackle on the halfway line. Stuart Pearce-esque.

I like the way Leicester are playing, putting Man City under pressure and forcing a mistake, saw Real Betis play a similar way against Barca recently when they beat them 4-3.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 22 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Man City

Leicester call Arijanet Muric into action for the first time and the young keeper makes a very good save indeed! Demarai Gray cuts in from the left and hits a shot from about 25 yards out, it takes a delection and would definitely find the bottom corner if it wasn't for a fingertip save.

Leicester have raised the tempo now, to good effect.

Cupset chances look slim at Blackpool, who now go 2-0 up. Follow that game here.

  6. CLOSE!published at 18 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Man City

This has the potential to get away from Leicester very fast. More slick play sees Brahim Diaz work his way into the area on the left, he hits a shot which is deflected up in the air to Riyad Mahrez at the far post. He swivels neatly and smashes a volley over the top. De Bruyne is then fouled on the edge of the area.

  7. Bring back Mourinho!published at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2018

The Manchester City fans had just burst into a chant of “bring back Mourinho” as Kevin de Bruyne hit that shot. It is looking like a good day for those who wear Sky Blue.

  8. 'Zero backlift!'published at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2018

    Leicester 0-1 Man City

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

There was zero backlift on the shot and it takes Leicester goalkeeper Danny Ward by surprise, what a strike by Kevin de Bruyne.

It is great to watch these players live in action, you can see why De Bruyne is touted as one of the world's best. The power generated in the shot was incredible, you can tell he works on that on the training field, great technique.

GOAL - Leicester 0-1 Man Citypublished at 14 mins

    Kevin de Bruyne

He might not be fully fit just yet but he's not in bad shape! What a strike this is. Kevin de Bruyne steps inside a challenge, maybe 25 yards from goal and then he absolutely thrashes a strike through the legs of Hamza Choudhury and into the near post. Danny Ward was beaten before he even saw it.

Leicester have had 13% (THIRTEEN) of the possession so far. This is getting silly.

    Leicester 0-0 Man City

The rain is absolutely hammering down now. Brahim Diaz plays a slick one-two with Sergio Aguero but a fine challenge from Hamza Choudhury stops him in his tracks.

Where will Diaz be playing next season?

  14. Why has Puel picked this team?published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2018

    Leicester 0-0 Man City

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Claude Puel is prioritising Saturday's game at Chelsea and I don't know why. They are in a healthy position in the league.

With what happened to the owner this season, this was an opportunity to win something in his honour.

You think, 'why have you done this?' The likes of Jamie Vardy will be disappointed because it was a chance to win silverware.

    Leicester 0-0 Man City

    Gary Flintoff
BBC Radio 5 live reporter at King Power Stadium

It is a filthy night in Leicester, which might explain the hundreds of empty blue seats. The rain is teeming down, but you would think that would suit Manchester City’s passing game as the night goes on.

  16. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Man City

Phil Foden links up well with Kevin de Bruyne, his shot is blocked but Christian Fuchs slides in and takes out fellow title-winner Riyad Mahrez. Foul.

De Bruyne whips in the free-kick but it comes to nothing.

    Leicester 0-0 Man City

John Stones is in the 'Fernandinho role' for Manchester City as they dominate early possession. Leicester do counter well though, Demarai Gray showing some real pace to beat Kyle Walker and get a cross inbut 17-year-old Eric Garcia does well to head away.
