Hearts, aiming to bounce back from successive defeats at Livingston and Aberdeen, make three changes to the side that succumbed 2-0 at Pittodrie.

Arnaud Djoum, Ben Garuccio and Callumn Morrison return for Craig Levein's side, with Oliver Bozanic and Sean Clare dropping to the bench and Demetri Mitchell out of the squad.

Hamilton, whose 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock last Saturday ended a run of three defeats, make four changes to their side.

Delphin Tshiembe, Shaun Want, James Martin and Fredrik Brustad all come into the Accies starting line-up, with Matt Kilgallon, Lennard Sowah, Darian MacKinnon and James Keatings dropping out.

It's not been much of a game, with the best chance falling to the Buddies' Adam Hammill right on the stroke of half-time.

It may have taken to virtually the stroke of half-time to arrive, but we - almost - had a clear chance in Paisley.

It's Adam Hammill with the effort as St Mirren try to pounce on an out-of-position St Johnstone defence. The St Mirren man had options but opted to shoot from the edge of the area, only for his right-foot drive to flash across goal and a few yards wide of the far post.

Level pegging at Pittodrie. Scott Sinclair tapped Celtic into an early lead but a rash challenge from Emilio Izaguirre gave Aberdeen a route back, with Stevie May slamming in the resultant penalty.

Celtic get themselves in trouble at the back again as a sequence of passes between defenders ends with Craig Gordon slapping the ball straight to Lewis Ferguson 20 yards out. Scott Brown gets in the way to block off the Dons midfielder and spare his keeper's blushes.

Here comes Celtic's Ryan Christie again. This time he tries to curl one into the far corner but his effort bounces a couple of feet wide.

Murray Davidson's loss is a big one for St Johnstone who had started to threaten in Paisley. So far it has been a game of little quality as the poor ball travels from one end to the other at a fair rate. The home team are keen to get forward, but are struggling to pick out a man at the key moment.

Celtic continue to knock it about patiently, with their two centre-halves seeing a lot of the ball. Ryan Christie makes a dash towards the home penalty box but is crudely stopped in his tracks by a lunging Niall McGinn. Dangerous spot for a free kick...

McGinn booked. Christie fires the set-piece into the defensive wall.

Concern for St Johnstone as Murray Davidson is helped off the pitch while heavily limping on his left leg. It all came from a challenge on the midfielder in the opposition box, but nothing was awarded.

Ross Callaghan is now on.

Celtic are a bit sloppy as they try to pass their way out of defence, with Dedryck Boyata gifting the ball to Connor MacLennan. However, the big Belgian quickly recovers and outmuscles the Aberdeen youngster to mop up his own mess.
