We've got a heavyweight fixture list for you on Saturday, with a number of top flight derbies.

First up, it's the Old Firm meeting at Ibrox and the day ends with an all-Edinburgh clash at Easter Road.

Dundee manager Jim McIntyre is disappointed not to have claimed three points against Livingston but is taking heart from his side extending their unbeaten home run to four games.

In response to reports suggesting an interest in veteran former Dark Blues midfielder Gary Harkins, who has just been released by Queen of the South.

“No, that’s well wide of the mark," he tells BBC Scotland.

Hearts boss Craig Levein praised the contribution of Steven Naismith after the striker, recently back from knee surgery, scored the opener in their 2-0 win over Hamilton, his 12th goal in 18 games for the club this season.

"I thought Steven made a huge difference," Levein told BBC Scotland. "I feel better about having him on the park and the rest of the players felt the same.

"I have spoken many times about the type of character he is in the dressing room and for the team. I am delighted for him to get a goal because he was on a brilliant scoring streak before he got injured.

“It was good not only to win the game but to create chances because it is something we have struggled to do. We squandered half a dozen but it was good to see us playing well.

"It was comfortable, even if the scoreline doesn't necessarily say that."

Livingston manager Gary Holt could be considering an appeal against the red card shown by referee Bobby Madden to substitute striker Jack Hamilton after a bit of shoving on the floor with Dundee defender Darren O'Dea.

"I spoke to Bobby afterwards and he said it was a push in the face," Holt tells BBC Scotland. "From where I was, I don't think it was a push in the face.

"I think he's pushed Darren off as he's fell on him. Darren's maybe been clever - the older pro's gone down holding his face and that's maybe made Bobby's mind up.

"It is something we'll have to look at."

Holt, though, was satisfied to leave Dens Park with a draw.

"I'm delighted with the point considering we were down to 10 men for the last 10 minutes or so," he adds.

"But I don't think we were hanging on. I think we were coping well with their balls into the box. I don't think we were under any great pressure."

Hibs are yet to lose a game at Ibrox under Neil Lennon.

The Easter Road side won both league visits last season and rescued a point today with an 86th-minute header from former Rangers defender Darren McGregor.

Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis is not too down in the dumps after losing out in that seven-goal thriller at Pittodrie.

"Today is disappointing but we will dust ourselves down and move on quickly. The mood in the camp should still be good. We should take confidence from today's game, running a good side close.

"Livingston will be a tough game. They've shown all season how difficult it is to play at their place and we need to carry on the momentum that we have had."

On losing three players to head injuries in the first half, Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson tells Sportsound: “I’ve certainly never experienced anything like that.

“Two of them obviously have really bad concussion. Both have been taken to hospital. Carl McHugh has a bit of history with that so we don’t know how long he’ll be out.

“We have a potential detached retina with Christian (Mbulu), so it’s crazy injuries.

“First and foremost, hopefully the boys are okay, but in terms of the game we didn’t lose it because of that. I want to be very, very clear.

“Yeah, it made it more difficult, but we lost from a mishit cross. I have to give credits to the boys on the pitch, they gave everything for me."

"I'm pretty sure Jordan will tell you it was shot," says Killie manager Stevie Clarke. "As soon as it left his boot, [assistant manager] Alex Dyer said to me 'that's a goal'. Jordan said he saw the keeper a little bit off his line and curled it to the back post. Whether it's a shot or a cross is pretty irrelevant really.

"We were wasteful in the second half. I thought we should have had a few more."

"This is always a hard place to come and obviously circumstances went against Motherwell - three head knocks is very unusual and best wishes go to the three players involved. I hope they are back playing quickly."

Clearly Hibernian served up a smashing showing, impressing tennis star Jamie Murray.

"I think we deserved it," says St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright. "We created more chances and controlled large parts of the game.

"A really good response after losing two games and we've proved before that we keep going until the end.

"David (Wotherspoon) takes a quick throw-in and catches them sleeping and Tony is in the six yard box, which we're trying to get him to do more often, and it's a great header to win the game.

"That will do him the world of good. Confidence is what striker's are all about."

It was a good day for Celtic, who have extended their lead at the top to three points, while St Johnstone and Kilmarnock also make up ground after narrow wins.

The dominant theme will be the Motherwell injuries but this should not mask the success Kilmarnock have created today. Will Jordan Jones be a target for other clubs in January? Almost certainly. Today has shown what he is all about - a match-winner who can trouble defences when he is in the mood.

Elsewhere, it was typically solid and efficient from a Kilmarnock side where everyone knows their jobs and gives 100% for their manager.

The home supporters will be feeling frustrated after dropping points at Ibrox.

There may be further consternation after an injury to Connor Goldson, who was forced off after an hour.

Will the centre-half be fit for Saturday's showdown with Celtic?

Rangers remain in second place but drop three points behind leaders Celtic going into Saturday's derby at Ibrox.

Hibs drop a place to eighth but I'm sure their fans will be going home happy after that late equaliser.

They also have a derby to look forward to, with Hearts heading to Easter Road next.

Yet another victory for Kilmarnock who move back into third place, overtaking Aberdeen.

Just a second win in 10 matches for Hearts. A very comfortable afternoon for the hosts.

Big, big chance for Motherwell. They have offered virtually nothing in attack this second half but with a few minutes remaining they easily could have been level. Liam Grimshaw's cross-field pass finds Gael Bigirimana unmarked in the box, but the Burundi international's first time volley flies across goal and well wide.
