    Rangers 1-0 Celtic

Celtic are on the attack for the first time in what seems like ages.

A corner bounces towards Scott Brown on the edge of the penalty area, but the midfielder's low drive deflects clear from in front of goal off the shin of James Tavernier.

  2. Postpublished at 37mins

    Rangers 1-0 Celtic

Having set up the goal, Ryan Kent has a go himself, but the winger's curling drive goes wide of the far post.

I've never seen Celtic give possession away so much - they have been so slack. It's all been down to the pressure they've been put under by Rangers and the fact they don't have that out-ball - they don't have that Dembele-type figure to hold it up for them

Not only is that Ryan Jack's first goal for Rangers, it is his first since netting in a 7-0 win for Aberdeen in March 2017.

Craig Gordon no chance. It just goes through Scott Brown's legs off his left ankle. Brilliant, brilliant play from young Ryan Kent

GOAL - Rangers 1-0 Celticpublished at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2018

    Ryan Jack

It had been coming and Rangers deserve the opening goal that comes through Ryan Jack's first goal for the club.

Ryan Kent is the creator. The on-loan Liverpool winger teases Mikael Lustig, leaving the right-back on his backside before setting up the Scotland midfielder.

Jack's low drive goes through Scott Brown's legs and it clips off the Celtic captain's heel and flies past goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

Only disappointment for Steven Gerrard so far is that his team hasn’t scored.

They’re ahead in every other department. Best I’ve seen them this season.

Celtic really struggling with their intensity.

Scott Brown is getting pressed by Worrall. When the two Celtic centre-halves get the ball, Morelos is working very hard. They're not able to build it up through midfield and they're forced to go long

I've not seen Celtic this uncomfortable in a long time. They can't string two passes together. I wouldn't put it past Brendan Rodgers making a substitution if this remains the same

  12. Postpublished at 21mins

Another Rangers corner and another chance.

Connor Goldson rises above the visiting defence, but the centre-half heads wide from 10 yards.

  13. Postpublished at 20mins

    Rangers 0-0 Celtic

Another close call for Celtic as Filip Benkovic dives in and it allows Alfredo Morelos to race clear.

The on-loan Leicester City centre-half is thankful to see Dedryck Boyata do enough to deflect the Rangers striker's shot wide of the far post.

Craig Gordon doesn't get anywhere near it - he should be coming stronger and higher. Celtic have got lucky, they've got off the hook. They haven't got control of the game and invited Rangers onto them

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 15mins

    Rangers 0-0 Celtic

Rangers are piling on the pressure and Ryan Kent's low cross finds its way to Daniel Candeias.

The winger's first-time, side-footed effort is pushed away by Craig Gordon.

Either side of the goalkeeper and that would surely have been the opening goal.
