Pipe's first touch is to smash the ball clear after it bounces dangerously in the Newport penalty area. The home fans cheer but it's coming back again.

Newport make their first change. It's a straight swap at right-back. Tyler Hornby-Forbes is replaced by the experienced David Pipe.

It's almost attack versus defence now but Newport are doing their jobs well, particularly the midfield, Dolan and Bennett alongside each other.

Newport come forward for the first time in a while but then it's back to attack v defence. The League Two side's players all retreat back into their own half.

They win the ball back but just hoof it aimlessly clear. It's a bit early for that. Newport need to get their foot on the ball again.

Mickey Demetriou makes a mistake for the first time today. He tries to cut a long ball out but only manages to chip the ball in the air in his own box.

Kelechi Iheanacho is on hand to spin and get a shot away but he drags it wide of the post. Claude Puel looks to the sky and then roars in frustration. I've not seen him angry like this before.

Antoine Semenyo is on loan here from Bristol City. I think they'll want to be looking at his contract and trying to get him back again, he's playing that well.

The home fans groan as they clear one but it comes straight back again when no Newport players get close to hold the ball up.

Leicester make an attacking change. Winger Demarai Gray replaces right-back Danny Simpson.

Leicester have Newport penned in. They're pressing and probing. James Maddison is seeing a lot of the ball and is ordering his team-mates around, telling them where he wants them to run.

He tries to chip one through to Albrighton like he's playing with a a sand wedge but this one skips on and off the playing surface.

Paul: Newport need a 2nd goal. Leicester can't possibly be as bad again and like last year, they couldn't get 2nd goal against Spurs and Kane equalised before Spurs won replay. Leicester are here for the taking.

Ooooof. Leicester are starting to get going now.

Newport get back and think they've get an attack covered but Marc Albrighton then crashes one off the crossbar from distance. For once Joe Day was stranded in the Newport goal.

Leicester won't come much closer without scoring.

It is good play from Newport again. Leicester are definitely pushing more forward. It means when Newport win the ball back there's lots of space in behind Jonny Evans and Wes Morgan.

Newport are brimming with confidence and Padraig Amond goes for an overhead kick. He makes good contact but the effort is well off target.

Leicester need to get back in the game, quickly. There needs to be more creativity, certainly in the midfield, and James Maddison is on now in that central area.

Matty James is not even looking forward, he wants to pass the ball sideways, but you've got to be brave in possession. It's not just about physicality, it's about being brave when you have the ball. Go and play.

Maddison drops deep into midfield to try and get something going but again the Leicester move breaks down.

Jamille Matt then leads the League Two side on the counter-attack. If he could just square the ball to Padraig Amond then Matt's strike partner would have a tap-in but the Leicester defence blocks the cross.

Now Maddison gives away a free-kick for a foul on Dolan. The Englishman waves his arms in frustration. It's not happening for Leicester.

Leicester give the ball away at the start of the second half. Claude Puel gets up and shouts at his team.

Not the best start.

Newport have 45 minutes to hold on. Leicester have 45 minutes to find a goal.
