FT: Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard admits that he is "not happy with the sloppiness" of his side in the second half of the win over Cowdenbeath.
But he tells Premier Sports: "The pitch did get more bobbly as the night went on, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt on this occasion.
"Credit to Cowdenbeath - they played for 90 minutes and we only played for 45 - but the important thing is that we are through to the next round.
"We got very sloppy, but you've got to take into consideration that we were 3-0 up by then and it's not the biggest game for us."
Gerrard thought that the foul for Cowdenbeath's penalty was outside the penalty box but admits that "the referee was closer to it than me".
FT: Celtic 2-0 St. Johnstone
Tommy Wright
St Johnstone manager on Sportsound
St. Johnstone manager Tommy Wright will have a crack at Celtic again on Sunday and he'll be demanding an improved performance.
"We limited them to very few chances in the first half but I’d have liked to have kept the ball better," he tells BBC Sportsound. "Work the ball in tight situations and control the ball better. When the opposition have so much possession eventually they’ll break you down as you fatigue.
"I can’t fault the players for their effort but sometimes you have to take you’re hat off and say you were beaten by the better team."
FT: Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers
Cowdenbeath head coach Gary Bollan is a proud man.
"It’s been a good night for the club," he tells BBC Sportsound. "I’m disappointed with the result but the performance of the pIayers. I couldn't be a prouder man tonight. For their effort, to go out there and play for 90 minutes and play at full throttle against Rangers. It’s a great performance from the lads."
"The third (goal) was a hard one to take. Less than a minute to go and we make one error. To lose a goal at that stage was disappointing because coming in two down at half-time we go early doors in the second half and score a goal and the game could have been different."
FT: Celtic 2-0 St Johnstone
Maryan Shved was watching the game at Celtic Park but he won't feature for Celtic during this campaign, with Brendan Rodgers revealing that the winger will go back on loan to his club in Ukraine, Karpaty Lviv.
"He's a really good kid," says the Celtic manager. "He's a talent. He'll go back to his team and finish the season."
Any chance of new arrivals tomorrow?
"We won't be overly busy," says Rodgers. "There might be a couple of ins and outs."
FT: Celtic 2-0 St Johnstone
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is a happy man after a four wins from four in 2019.
"We played very well," he tells BBC Sportsound. "The first 20, we didn't play quick enough but then we started to get into better areas
"Second half, we changed the shape of midfield, changed the wingers round and we found a good rhythm. We scored two wonderful goals, the keeper makes another couple of saves and we should have a penalty as well."
FT: Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard tells Premier Sports that he doesn't expect to be making any more signings before the January transfer window closes tomorrow.
Asked how happy he is with his club's business during January, he says: "Very happy. I think we are done.
"I don't see any more incomings."
Rangers completed the signing of American midfielder Matt Polster from Chicago Fire today and Gerrard said: "We got Matt in and we are happy with that."
FT: Celtic 2-0 St Johnstone
Here's how the Premiership table looks now. Celtic six points clear.
The champions meet St Johnstone again on Sunday, this time in Perth, while Rangers are at home to St Mirren.
It's back to League Two duty for Cowdenbeath, who will host promotion-chasing Peterhead.

Two Mikael Lustig assists.
Ryan Christie’s ninth goal of the season and Callum McGregor’s sixth.
Six points clear at the top.
Brendan Rodgers not yet confirming a two-year contract extension for Scott Brown is the only thing stopping it being a perfect night for Celtic fans.
Here's a preview of what you can see on Sportscene later. Stephen Dobbie just can't stop scoring for Queen of the South.

Mission accomplished for Celtic as they win to go six points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
St Johnstone put up stern resistance in the first half but could do nothing to prevent Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie netting in the second period.
These two meet again in Perth on Sunday.
Rangers set up a fifth round visit to Kilmarnock thanks to a strong first-half showing at Central Park.
The second 45 minutes belonged to Cowdenbeath, who really had the Premiership side rattled with their energy.
Celtic 2-0 St Johnstone
Callum McGregor fancies another goal at Celtic Park and his effort is foiled by another fine save by Zander Clark.
Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers
Jordan Houston, 18, is on for his Rangers debut. Daniel Candeias trudges off with a small clap for the visiting fans.
Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers
Rangers' Ryan Jack has a crack from distance and the ball whistles narrowly wide.

Quote Message3-0 down at half-time and their heads have never gone down. You would have said one or two players might have just folded. No, none of that. The two substitutes have lifted the whole team, even the midfield is pressing better. It's a lively performance in the second half.
Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers
Jermain Defoe slides a pass through for an offside-looking Steven Davis to chase. No flag.
No penalty either as Robbie Buchanan slides in and bundles into the back of the Rangers midfielder. Did he get a touch on the ball? If he did, it was ever so slight.

Timothy Weah is off the bench and he tests Zander Clark before fellow substitute Odsonne Edouard is close to poking in Celtic’s third.
