  1. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2019

    Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers

Cowdenebeath have the ball in the net again as Jordan Allan knocks it in from close range but it doesn't count.

A slack pass from Jon Flanagan allows David Cox a free run at goal from near the edge of the box and Wes Foderingham does well to save near the penalty spot. It breaks to Matthew Henvey and his attempt at a shot results in the offside flag going up before the final touch from Allan.

A few fleeting seconds of joy for the substitute then it's hands on the head time.

I don't think it's panic time just yet. Cowdenbeath have shown great resilience to make sure they get back in it. I'm surprised Renton's gone off. I thought he gave Rangers a hard time. It's maybe just fitness troubles.

  3. Postpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2019

    Celtic 2-0 St Johnstone

Celtic have introduced top scorer Odsonne Edouard from the bench as Oliver Burke is withdrawn.

St Johnstone have also mixed things up with Ross Callachan and Tony Watt on for Danny Swanson and Michael O'Halloran.

    Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers

Glenn Middleton is on for Rangers, who have been all over the shop in this second half. Lassana Coulibaly is the man making way.

As play resumes, the hosts seize on a Steven Davis error and Cowdenbeath captain Kyle Miller sends a looping shot over the top.

  5. CLOSE!published at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2019

    Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers

Another hairy moment for Wes Foderingham as the Rangers goalie again comes off his line to try to clear. He blooters the ball against Jordan Allan and the ball spins just wide of the gaping net.

  6. Postpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2019

    Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers

Wes Foderingham comes haring off his line and bumps into Matthew Henvey. The Cowden sub stays on his feet and looks hopefully at referee Craig Thomson. He would be better chasing after the ball which is still in play.

    Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers

Blair Malcolm off, Jordan Allan on, as Cowden make their second change of the evening.

Allan made the headlines as a 14-year-old when he made his debut for Airdrie.

The hosts then make their final switch as Kris Renton also goes off and Matthew Henvey, recently arrived on loan from Dundee, gets on.

That's two up top for the Fifers now.

  9. Postpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2019

    Cowdenbeath 1-3 Rangers

Daniel Candeias does well to fashion room for a shot inside a busy penalty area but the effort is weak and David McGurn gathers easily.

Foderingham guesses right, to his right hand side. It’s a comfortable save although it’s central. Cox follows in, he anticpates it. An easy tap in, left foot to the right hand corner of the net. An interesting start to the second half.

A good double save from David McGurn as he narrows the angle to deny and advancing Jermain Defoe then gets up quickly to block the follow-up from Daniel Candeias.

Rangers have not been playing pretty, not trying to play their way through the middle. They are going over the top and going early. I like the simplicity of the game plan

St Johnstone will be the happier of the two. They’ve defended resolutely with nine bodies camped around their box. Tommy Wright will be best pleased although St Johnstone have been lacking in attacking terms and Scott Bain been very comfortable and has had nothing to do
