Unfortunately there were some unsavoury scenes in the stand opposite us as one fan leapt into a private box.

It looked to me as if the guy was then taken away by the stewards down the stairs of the stand, causing the 1,000 or so fans in the area to react angrily and try to then drag him back off them.

In the end, the police came up to barricade the area and two fans look to have been escorted out.

Thankfully it seems to have calmed down a little now.

Craig Noone's low corner is cleared at the near-post. The ball is sent forward again and Clayton Donaldson wins another corner.

West Brom pump it away like flood water, but it keeps trickling forward from Bolton.

Weird, scooped through ball finds Dwight Gayle in space, but Bolton squeeze the Baggies upfield and away from danger.

Pawel Olkowski wins a corner for the home side with another raid on the break. One issue... Gary O'Neil is down receiving treatment.

Protests aside, there is a football match on tonight you know!

Both sides have plenty to prove at either end of the table and the hosts as well as the visitors have had chances at either end in a lively opening quarter of an hour.

There are a huge number of empty seats, but with temperatures floating around freezing I'm not sure I can blame anyone choosing to follow the game in the warm at home.

Bolton midfielder Gary O'Neil loops a header over the bar after he gets ahead of his marker Kieran Gibbs in the box. Making a real pest of himself is the wily campaigner.

Some smart play by Jason Lowe in the build-up, passable impersonation of Andres Iniesta in terms of turning out of danger and launching an attack.

James: Coming from a Bolton fan I really can’t see us staying up. I try to stay positive hoping that we’ll get a slice of luck and that will kickstart a fight back (like against Rotherham when we won 2-1) but I can’t really see it happening which is a shame.....
