Brighton manager Chris Hughton speaking to BBC Sport:

"I feel relief. It feels like a big win but I think any win from now until the end of the season will feel big. It was not so dramatically different to other games where we have had good spells and difficult spells, it is almost a perfect result, we kept a clean sheet but I don’t think anyone would feel we didn’t deserve to win the game in the end.

"What is going to happen is a bit of nervousness and frustration and you have to wait for the game to open up. You have to wait for the moments but on the balance of play and possession we knew we could open them up and Florin (Andone) came up trumps."

    On Florin Andone:

"It wasn’t just about the goal, when you send a sub on you want impact and from the first moment to the last he made an impact. He stretched the back four, got into good areas and that is all you want. If they are able to get a goal then it is even better as Florin did.

"We have had some bad days and we went through a period where we were not picking up results and now that has changed. It is about where you are in the league table and turning things around, a feel good factor from getting that result and the ability to build on it which is what we need to do."

  2. 'Dressing room is bouncing'published at 17:20 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2019

    Man Utd 3-2 Southampton

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tells BBC Sport: "It was one of those games, it had everything. It was an open game and they came here to beat us. We should have been 1-0, 2-0 up in the first five minutes. They settled down and scored with two unbelievable strikes. My team did fantastic and the boys did great in the second half.

"The belief is there, they have gone so long without losing games (domestically) and are raring to go. They want to get on the ball and the confidence is high. They were class finishes from Romelu Lukaku and I am so pleased for Andreas Pereira.

"Rom is a goalscorer, he keeps practicing every single day and has quality. When we changed to two up front that helped him as well. We had some great play at times, 3-2 we did it the hard way. That's why we are turning grey.

"We have done fantastically well away from home but we go to PSG with the belief, we have nothing to lose. We will give it a go. This club has done so many great comebacks, the tie is not done.

"The dressing room is bouncing at the moment."

  3. 'We will fight for the club'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2019

    Brighton 1-0 Huddersfield Town

    Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town’s Juninho Bacuna: "I am disappointed. We said at half-time we wanted to do the same as in the first but I don’t know what happened, Brighton played well. So we are disappointed with how we played.

"We know our system and we have to play how the manager wants and we didn’t do that in the second half. We will fight for the club every minute we have got left this season. Hopefully we can win some games and make the crowd proud."

  4. 'Their goal was ugly'published at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2019

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man City

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manger Eddie Howe speaking to BBC Sport:

"It is difficult, you want to be competitive and that was the way for us to make the game tight, show toughness and mentally hang in. The only frustration is their goal was ugly which is very unlike them, so very unlucky.

"It wasn’t the plan to be so without the ball but they rarely make a mistake, technically they were very good. You are waiting for a mistake so you can counter and they made very few. That limited the chance for us to do what we are very good at.

"Nathan Ake did very well today, the most experienced of the back three, led by example with his commitment and endeavour. With young Jack Simpson and Chris Mepham playing alongside him too, that is hugely positive for the future, looking at the age of these three. It is a good sign."

  5. 'We had to be patient'published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2019

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez: "It is a small pitch, against 5-4-1 it is not easy to play but we did very good in the first half. Second was good as well but most important was to avoid the counter and to score.

"We had to be very patient, we can always create chances. Be patient, move the ball quickly, we’ll get space and score.

"It is always like this, when you play away and win by one, you think they might come back. But they didn’t have too many chances to be honest. Perfect game for us

"Liverpool are playing tomorrow. We’ll see but a long way to go."

  6. Postpublished at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2019

Pep says that John Stones and Kevin de Bruyne have muscular injuries and "when you play 25 games in 93 days it is a physiological issue. We do not have time to let players recover".

Brighton goalscorer Florin Andone: "For us it is very important. We knew we hadn’t won in the new year and these three points are very important. This was the perfect team to beat today and we knew before the game it was like a final. It was very hard, they played well and finally we got the victory.

"It is very hard to say we are away from relegation until the end with 10 games left to go. But today was like a final, we needed victory and we got it.

"I thought about me, I needed to play well and to give 100% and the keeper made a very good save at first and I was a little bit angry but I got the goal which was important for me. In my mind it is very important and now I have more confidence.

"Our mind needs to be on the next game, step by step."

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku: "We knew we had to win the game today and did it. Not our best game but we have to be happy.

"We created a lot of chances in the opening 10 minutes but won the game.

"I am a striker and I wanted Paul Pogba to score the penalty, he has been on a good run but he has been an important player for us and will bounce back.

"I was focussed on the win and help my team-mates. The manager gave me another chance today.

"We have to look one game at a time and are working hard on the training ground. We are ready for the challenge."
