There is such a huge space between the rest of the Thailand players and Miranda Nild.

There is just no support when the ball does go anywhere near her.

I thought Tobin Heath was going to go high and for that far corner but it went in flat and Lindsey Horan makes a good connection to send it into the roof of the net.

    And it is three.

Tobin Heath's free-kick is not the best, scuffed low but Wilaiporn Boothduang makes a mess of the clearance, unable to get distance on it.

USA number nine Lindsey Horan is on hand on the edge of the six yard box to lash home into the roof of the onion bag.

Hit it so hard she almost broke the net, a thunderous strike.

Roger: VAR is a farce. Dump it.

Mark Rose: Clear foul in the box stonewall penalty and VAR said no. Think the Premier League is going to have fun with this next season.

Lee Roberts: How on earth is that not given as a penalty? It shows VAR still has a long way to go to improve the game.

Mexican waves have been incredibly frequent at this World Cup so far.

They've actually been actively encouraged by the comperes well before kick-off at every game I've seen, and we have one circling the stadium now, just over halfway through the first half.

When you are playing against a side dropping so deep it is difficult for an attacking to team to break them down but the US are doing it so well moving the ball one and two-touch.

It is being checked by VAR, Samantha Mewis is cleared dragged but no penalty is given!

Am I imagining a foul there? How is that NOT a penalty?

They have technology and still get the decision wrong.

Chris Kaye: Just witnessed the worst reaction to a goal ever. US playing Thailand in the Women's World Cup, three Americans are in the pub chatting away, one minute after the US score one of them notices and says "oh yay we scored."

Glenn: USA look a cut above the rest. Can't believe how small the Thailand keeper is.

That was a goalkeeping error. Rose Lavelle did well, she knows when to dribble, when to pass and when to let one go.

But I don't think she caught that one well.

    Rose Lavelle

    Lead. Doubled.

Superb forward play from Alex Morgan, holding the ball up and laying it off for Rose Lavelle.

The Washington Spirit player beats a defender and has a go from 25 yards out and it sneaks in at the near post.

Awful goalkeeping from Sukanya Chor-Charoenying though, she should have easily saved it.

If they are going to improve and develop Thailand need money to be invested to compete and challenge.

Full-time players against part-time players is such a mismatch, they just can't keep the ball.
