    Sweden 0-2 USA

Good move by Sweden. First of all a Fridolina Rolfo cross almost flies into the net.

And now a cross from the other side is coming for Rolfo, but Kosovare Asllani gets a head which takes the chance away from her own team-mate.

Rose Lavelle gets a warm reception as she goes off and it's a fully deserved one. I'd say she's been fantastic.

She's one of those players who seems to know exactly where all her team-mates are long before the ball arrives at her feet.

The Swedish midfield has been overrun all night so I'm not surprised to see a change in there.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 64 mins

    Sweden 0-2 USA

The US make their second sub. Christen Press replaces Rose Lavelle.

And Sweden make one too, Hanna Glas is on for captain Caroline Seger.

Sweden have a cross... cleared. They'd not done much at all in the second half.

Dave, Manchester: What's the point of VAR if USA's second goal is going to stand? Blatantly offside, blatantly interfering with play, ludicrous decision by the referee.

Gordon in Aberdeen: VAR in the Women's World Cup is a joke. How can Scotland's penalty save last night be annulled but USA goal tonight is allowed. What a farce.

Adam Dartford: Am all for the use of Technology in Football but VAR is killing the Women's World Cup stone dead.

USA's Kelley O'Hara is the first player booked for a foul on recent sub Fridolina Rolfo. The ref let play go on but came back to book her.

So as things stand, USA win the group and play Spain in the last 16. Sweden finish second and play Canada. Chile and Thailand go out.

Sweden make a change up front. Fridolina Rolfo replaces Olivia Schough.

Kosovare Asllani slips a ball through to Stina Blackstenius. She should just shoot first time on her left but she's desperate to cut inside and her shot, when it eventually comes, is saved.

I was at Australia's win over Brazil last week, where the officials had to make a very similar decision, as Sam Kerr was offside but didn't touch the ball for Australia's winner.

That one in Montpellier was given too... So they've been consistent!

I'm lost. I don't know what the rules are any more. I'm stunned with the decision that has been taken.

How is Carli Lloyd deemed to not be interfering with play? She is three yards from the six-yard box and the centre-half has to step aside to clear the ball.

That goal counts as an Jonna Andersson own goal. A bit harsh, I didn't think the deflection was that big.

Former England defender on BBC Four

Kelley O'Hara did so well to intercept the misplaced pass. Sweden cannot say that has not been coming, they have had so any warnings.

They are just not able to clear the ball and the USA are so good at keeping up relentless pressure.

Sweden defender Linda Sembrant hooked the cross onto Tobin Heath to stop the ball reaching Carli Lloyd. So she probably was interfering with play really.

Carli Lloyd looks offside. It has to be offside.
