The crowd are getting more and more expectant, as the prospect of either an extremely late winner or penalties becomes a certainty.

Now then, is this one for the shootout? Claire Emslie comes on for Manchester City's Caroline Weir.

But again Manchester City get the set-piece clear!

For the record, the Women's League Cup final has never gone to a penalty shootout before.

It has once previously made it into extra-time, in 2016 when Manchester City beat Birmingham City by the odd goal.

More chances, more good play, still goalless. This final is edging ever nearer to penalties.

This is a bit of a surprise. Manchester City make another change and it's Nikita Parris who comes off, with Lauren Hemp on in her place.

There'll be two minutes added on at the end of this first half of extra-time.

How have Manchester City not scored?!

Caroline Weir's delivery, as it has been throughout, is top quality again but nobody can quite convert as it flashes across the six-yard box.

And then in the blink of an eye Nikita Parris creates a chance out of nothing.

The Manchester City striker bursts past Louise Quinn and into the box, but Sari van Veenendaal is off her line quickly to make the save.

The Arsenal keeper has got better and better as this final has gone on and she's the only reason that the game remains goalless.

Manchester City dominated the second half, but this has been a 50-50 match since the resumption.

It's gone from wide open to a slightly nervy, tired affair.
