Spring looks like it has sprung in South Lanarkshire and it's been a Sunday afternoon stroll so far for Rangers with three goals in an eight-minute spell putting them firmly in command before another just before the break.
Can Hamilton do anything to turn this around in the second half?
Rangers captain and regular penalty taker James Tavernier makes no mistake from 12 yards.
Hamilton 0-3 Rangers

Quote MessageThere is certainly a new style to Hamilton - there's no doubt they're trying to move the ball, pass it, get technical players in the team but it just leaves them that little bit more vulnerable at the back, especially against good teams
Hamilton 0-3 Rangers
More frustration for Hamilton as they send a free-kick straight into the arms of goalkeeper Allan McGregor from wide on the left.

Quote MessageI think Brian Rice has got to write this one off and just try to regroup them, and just stop the bleeding. As important as the goal difference is to Rangers, it's just as important to Hamilton. The sides are so finely matched down there, goal difference could be the difference in going down or into a play-off
Hamilton 0-3 Rangers
Scott Arfield scored his seventh goal of the season and his first since November to put Rangers three up.
The Ibrox side have now scored eight goals in the past five days after putting five past Kilmarnock in midweek.

Quote MessageIt starts with little simple balls into Glen Kamara taking it from the back then putting it through. And Scott Arfield being released by the two holding midfielders is adding just a little bit more dynamism for Rangers going forward
Quote MessageRyan Jack has got so much to offer in bursting forward - he's powerful. They play side-by-side, Kamara and Jack, but their relationship is one of them can go. And that allows Arfield to get a little bit closer to the front three of Daniel Candeias, Ryan Kent and Jermain Defoe
Hamilton 0-3 Rangers
Glen Kamara takes out Mickel Miller and referee Nick Walsh has a word with the Rangers midfielder but keeps his yellow card in the pocket for now.

Quote MessageHamilton give the ball away and Rangers take advantage of that - Scott Arfield hits it and it absolutely flies past Gary Woods in the goal. It's game over I'm afraid
Hamilton 0-3 Rangers
Jermain Defoe headed Rangers' second goal and he has a goal ratio of one in two for the Ibrox side since joining last month.

Quote MessageYou can see David McMillan now heading to the right-hand side - he was kind of playing upfront with George Oakley. It's damage limitation to get to grips - losing those two quick goals, it can easily become three or four if you're playing open football
Scott Arfield
Rangers are coasting now.
David McMillan cannot clear his lines and Andy Halliday feeds Scott Arfield, who smashes a shot high past Gary Woods.
Hamilton 0-0 Rangers
Hamilton are eager to get back in this game and Connor Goldson's half clearance is pounced upon by George Oakley but goalkeeper Allan McGregor is off his line to block the header.

Quote MessageThat is gift wrapped for Jermain Defoe. Hamilton look a little all over the place - maybe just by losing the goal they haven't settled, but that is absolutely clinical from Rangers

Quote MessageThere wasn't even any power so much from Ryan Jack, it was just about placement - it was almost like a pass ever so slightly bending it past Gary Woods
Jermain Defoe
And it's quick second for the visitors as James Tarvernier's deep cross is met with a clinical diving header from Jermain Defoe.
Goal number four in a Rangers jersey for Defoe.
Ryan Jack
It's been coming and now Rangers have the lead. Ryan Kent plays the ball inside from the left to Ryan Kent, who sends a shot into the far corner.
It's a third goal this season for the midfielder.
