Fireworks go off around the roof of the stadium, as well as launching from the pitch itself, as the USA players lift their arms to the sky in delight.

They remain on top of the world.

The fireworks go off and the co-captains take it in turns to lift the trophy. The players pass it around and kiss it.

There's red, blue and white confetti everywhere!

Carli Lloyd joins her teammates on the podium but forgets to take the World Cup trophy with her!

Fifa president Gianni Infantino has to come and bring it to them. Amazing!

The USA players have put on shirts with the words 'champions' on the back. They all have the number 19 on them too.

The Dutch players pose for a team photo with their silver medals while the USA team begin their walk up to the stage.

Co-captains Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd hang back. They will lift the trophy together.

USA co-captain Megan Rapinoe said: "It's unbelievable just to know all of the people in our group have put in so much work. We have all our friends and family here, it is surreal."

On Rose Lavelle: "She has just been missing that little bit all tournament and for her to get that reward tonight on the biggest stage, I'm so proud of her. She's a straight up superstar.

"We have no quit in us, we are so tight and we will do anything to win."

England defender Lucy Bronze has been awarded the Silver Ball as the second best player in the tournament.

So that's Megan Rapinoe, Bronze and Lavelle.

Up come the Dutch. Runners-up in the World Cup just two years after winning the European Championship on home soil.

Incredible achievement.

Megan Rapinoe's quality on the ball, her delivery into the box and her leadership qualities were all there.

You can see from the eruption from the fans as she walked up to collect her award, that it says it all.

Huge boos ring around the stadium as Fifa president Gianni Infantino and French president Emmanuel Macron arrive on the stage.

And now the USA fans are chanting 'equal pay, equal pay'.

The Golden Ball, for the best player in the tournament, is awarded to Megan Rapinoe.

That's three gold trophies she has picked up this afternoon!

The third best player in the tournament is presented to 24-year-old Rose Lavelle. It's the Bronze Ball, as it's better known.

The Golden Glove award is presented to Dutch keeper Sari van Veenendaal which is totally deserved!

Chuffed for her. A World Cup final performance to remember.

Alex Morgan is awarded the Silver Boot after finishing the tournament with six goals and three assists.

Megan Rapinoe is next up on the stage, picking up the Golden Boot with six goals and three asissts, but in fewer minutes.

England's Ellen White also scored six goals but didn't have any assists.

Jill Ellis and Megan Rapinoe are very emotional in their post-match interviews with BBC Sport.

Rapinoe is asked to describe the feeling, "I don't know. It's just ridiculous! We're crazy, that's what makes us special."
