The USA are aiming to lift the Women's World Cup for a fourth time and are the resounding favourites in Lyon.

The defending champions could also become just the second nation to win back-to-back titles after Germany did so in 2003 and 2007.

This year in France, the three-time champions, who are Fifa's top-ranked nation, have scored in the opening 12 minutes of every match so far.

Meanwhile, European champions the Netherlands have reached their first final in only their second World Cup.

They are ranked eighth in the world and this tournament comes two years after they triumphed at Euro 2017 on home soil.

When the World Cup kicked off in Paris on 7 June, we started out with 24 teams. That was the first of 51 matches that have been played.

The 52nd and final match will take place in Lyon, where a sell-out is expected in the 59,000-capacity Groupama Stadium.

We've had drama, tears, VAR, tea, red cards, penalties, controversy, saves and a whole lot of goals - 144 to be precise.

But now it comes down to two teams, two countries and 22 players on the pitch, all fighting for one golden trophy...

Here we are! It's the final of the Women's World Cup!

And what a line-up. It's the defending champions against the reigning European champions.

The match is taking place in Lyon, home to Europe's most successful football club, and we're expecting a sell-out.
