GOAL - Crystal Palace 0-1 Man Citypublished at 15 mins

    Raheem Sterling

Beautiful ball from Kevin de Bruyne!

The midfielder coolly slots it through the two defenders and feeds Raheem Sterling on the right side of the area.

The winger, who had just missed a golden chance, absolutely thumps it into the far corner and ruffles the top of the net.

This could be a long afternoon for Palace.

Andros Townsend is put under pressure in midfield - largely by David Silva - and he turns back and plays it straight to Sergio Aguero.

Palace recover the ball quickly though and it's played out to Wilfried Zaha on the left. He cuts inside and wins a free-kick off Raheem Sterling.

It was a real miscue and so unlike Sterling so far this season. It was on his weaker side and he skewed it wide. The reaction on Pep Guardiola’s face says it all, Palace should be a goal behind.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

    BIG chance.

David Silva twists and turns away from James McArthur and drives along the backline.

He slips it back into the centre where Raheem Sterling is stood unmarked. The England forward scuffs his shot though and it dribbles wide of the post!

    Huge, huge miss.

  7. 'Palace need to find that out ball'published at 14:12 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

It’s been dominant from Manchester City in the opening stages, keeping the ball as we have seen so often in the past few seasons.

Crystal Palace need to find that out ball and I think that’s why Christian Benteke is starting today. He needs support though from the likes of Wilfried Zaha so he doesn’t get too isolated.

Benjamin Mendy plays a nice one-two with Leroy Sane but Aaron Wan-Bissaka makes an excellent sliding tackle and concedes a corner.

    City have started off brightly.

Ilkay Gundogan miscues a pass and James McArthur can regain possession for Palace. It comes to Wilfried Zaha in the middle and he nods it left to Jeffrey Schlupp.

It's spread across the pitch before Luka Milivojevic's long-range strike from the centre flies way over the bar.

  20. 'Graveyard for title campaigns'published at 13:53 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

Crystal Palace v Man City (14:05 BST)

    Steve Wilson
Match of the Day commentator at Selhurst Park

Selhurst Park has famously been a graveyard for title campaigns in the past. Liverpool's challenge fell off a cliff there in 2014 and Manchester City's went the same way - albeit in less spectacular fashion - a year later.

More recently, Palace fans will recall that goal. The volley from Andros Townsend which helped them become the only side to win a league game at the Etihad in the last 12 months will live long in the memory - and would be my choice for Goal of the Season.

So City go to south London with defeat at Spurs still smarting, and revenge on their minds.

Winning won't be easy against a Palace side who are realistically, if not quite numerically, safe from relegation.
