Richarlison has gone down holding his rib. That'll be a concern for Marco Silva. Looked like he twisted awkwardly.

Everton are playing with so much energy. Obviously United played in the week so the hosts have an edge but they are a yard quicker to everything at the minute.

    Everton 2-0 Man Utd

Manchester United just can't keep hold of the ball. Fred hoofs clear and it drops out of play. Sort of sums up their first half.

Lucas Digne is getting so much space down the Everton left, he's almost playing like a winger at times. His delivery is nodded away this time but Richarlison is then caught by Diogo Dalot on the edge of the box. Good position for the Toffees.

Safe hands from David De Gea, but Manchester United made a right mess of that as Diogo Dalot failed to realise the goalkeeper's throw was coming his way.

Richarlison nipped in and got a shot at goal from distance, but it's straight at the Spaniard.

Everton deal with the delivery comfortably. It's all just a little lethargic from United so far - feeling leggy from that trip to the Nou Camp?

Phil Jones has gone down. He's going to get some treatment.

Nemanja Matic shows Gylfi Sigurdsson the inside and he gets nowhere near him. It has not been a good start by Man Utd.

Manchester United have offered very little going forward, Romelu Lukaku has barely had a touch of the ball. That'll please the home fans.

Stephen: It’s amazing in a season where Everton look like beating Arsenal, Chelsea and United at home, and drawing with Liverpool, that we have not delivered more. It's a young side that will be challenging top six next season for sure.

SaAy: Matic so so poor, at this rate, it's going to be a rout on Wednesday

Colin: Seriously, what is the point of Fred!?

Huge roars around Goodison Park each time Manchester United have kicked off after conceding. This has been torture for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far.

Not surprisingly, the stadium is bouncing.

That goal came form a Man Utd corner. It was a great run and great finish by Gylfi Sigurdsson but I don't know what Nemanja Matic was doing there. We all know he can strike a ball and he just let him cut inside and shoot.

Man United had the corner and gave it away. It’s a lovely little pass inside from Bernard. Sigurdsson makes the run and gets it onto his right foot.

It had the pace on it to beat De Gea. He hasn’t had a lot to do but Everton have been clinical. It’s 2-0 and Everton deserve it.

    What a strike!

Everton break from that Manchester United corner and the United defence just keeps backing off and backing off as Gylfi Sigurdsson drives forward.

The Iceland midfielder looks up and decides to have a crack, and beats David De Gea with a superb right-footed effort from 25 yards or so.

    Wonderful finish.
