Everton are playing with so much energy. Obviously United played in the week so the hosts have an edge but they are a yard quicker to everything at the minute.

Manchester United just can't keep hold of the ball. Fred hoofs clear and it drops out of play. Sort of sums up their first half.

Lucas Digne is getting so much space down the Everton left, he's almost playing like a winger at times. His delivery is nodded away this time but Richarlison is then caught by Diogo Dalot on the edge of the box. Good position for the Toffees.

Safe hands from David De Gea, but Manchester United made a right mess of that as Diogo Dalot failed to realise the goalkeeper's throw was coming his way.

Richarlison nipped in and got a shot at goal from distance, but it's straight at the Spaniard.

Everton deal with the delivery comfortably. It's all just a little lethargic from United so far - feeling leggy from that trip to the Nou Camp?

That goal came form a Man Utd corner. It was a great run and great finish by Gylfi Sigurdsson but I don't know what Nemanja Matic was doing there. We all know he can strike a ball and he just let him cut inside and shoot.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been directly involved in eight Premier League goals against Manchester United (five goals, three assists), more than he has versus any other club in the competition.

Man United had the corner and gave it away. It’s a lovely little pass inside from Bernard. Sigurdsson makes the run and gets it onto his right foot.

It had the pace on it to beat De Gea. He hasn’t had a lot to do but Everton have been clinical. It’s 2-0 and Everton deserve it.

Saying that, Manchester United go and win a corner after Fred's cross is deflected behind.

Chance for Marcus Rashford to deliver - headed away by Lucas Digne.

It's just settled down a touch after a frantic opening 20 minutes.

Everton will be by far the happier team. A good start from Marco Silva's side.
