We were saying about putting the pressure on. Once again, a deep throw-in caused confusion in the United penalty area.

It’s a lovely overhead kick in the six-yard area. Richarlison sometimes looks like he’s sulking when things aren’t happening for him, but it’s in and around the penalty area where he comes alive.

That was a good save by David de Gea but Richarlison had more time than he thought he did on the second attempt.

Richarlison takes the ball down at the back post and is allowed to fire at goal on the bounce, but the Manchester United goalkeeper is down quickly to palm away.

It comes back to Richarlison, but the Everton forward fluffs his second effort wide.

Big chance for the Toffees.

Everton have pressurised United more in the first few minutes here than they did all last week in the 2-0 defeat to Fulham.

That’s what they need to do – pressurise United all over the park. Everton are trying to get at United, but the final ball is lacking.
