Birmingham are starting to look like a beaten team. Villa have looked calm and assured in this second half.
Blues have lacked any real creativity and there is no one who can link the play for them.
It has been a punt upfield for Lukas Jutkiewicz and Che Adams to chase.

Villa have come close to going 2-0 ahead but Birmingham will argue they should've had a penalty for that foul on Che Adams. It's one of those that doesn't look any better with further replays.

Robbie Andrews: Birmingham City fans cheering that cowardly attack is disgraceful. Dock the club points and make them play the rest of the season behind closed doors lets see if they are so quick to cheer that. Could have quite easily have had a knife on him.
Neil Baker: Fans need to be careful, the league could start making clubs put up netting or ice hockey style screening around the stadium if these idiots carry on!!

Just over 20 minutes to play. What do Birmingham City have as a response?
Jack Grealish (67 mins)
Well, well!
If it had to be anyone, it had to be Jack Grealish to break the deadlock in this game.
Rifles in a low left-foot shot from the edge of the Birmingham area as he makes space for himself.
Nothing much Lee Camp could do to reach that one at full-stretch.
Wild celebrations from the Villa players and fans and Grealish is booked for his reaction amongst it.
Can't blame him though for what's gone before. Villa ahead in this one.

The EFL has responded to this afternoon's attack on Villa's Jack Grealish by a Birmingham fan.
“The EFL condemns the mindless actions of the individual who encroached on to the pitch at St Andrew's on Sunday afternoon.
“It’s a situation no player should ever be faced with.
“In all circumstances the playing surface is for players, not supporters and those playing in the game must be able to do so safe in the knowledge they will not be subjected to this type of behaviour.
“Whilst this incident falls within the remit of the Football Association, we will work with all the relevant parties to address the issue of player and match officials' safety on the pitch and ensure the appropriate action is taken.”

Reaction to the attack on Villa's Jack Grealish by a Birmingham fan continues to roll in.
Former Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie told Sky Sports that the game should have been abandoned if Grealish was injured.
"I'm all for the rivalry, I'm all for the banter, but that is literally the worst thing I've seen on a football pitch, he said.
"Jack Grealish, one of the key players - what if he breaks his jaw and has to go off the pitch? That's one key player who is out of your side. If that would have happened, I think the game would have had to have been abandoned."
