Inspired by their team’s big huddle which finished their pre-match warm-up before returning to the dressing room to get final instructions, the Birmingham City fans are now in full voice.

A rousing rendition of their old faithful 'Keep Right On To The End Of The Road', followed by 'Mr Blue Sky' by ELO. And now it’s a right din as the two teams come out.

Plenty to talk about on this match for sure, but one of the big Championship talking points this weekend has been West Brom parting company with head coach Darren Moore.

The Baggies are still fourth despite being winless in their past three with just 10 matches to go this campaign.

What have you made of their decision to sack Moore now? Who's your favourite to replace him?

It’s not often West Bromwich Albion dominate the conversation on Second City derby day in the Midlands - but that’s certainly the case at a bitterly cold St Andrew’s this morning.

The imminent 128th duel over the past 132 years between Birmingham City and Aston Villa has temporarily been relegated to second place behind the abrupt axeing of Darren Moore as Albion head coach.

And there was a lot of support in the pre-match press room for the big, friendly Moore, popularly known in the game, from his best days as a Baggies player, simply as ‘Big Dave’.

Just the two points separate these sides coming into this one.

But after the rest of the results so far this weekend in the Championship, there's three teams between them.

Villa know that if they can do the double for this season, they will move above Blues up to ninth.

Birmingham City defender Harlee Dean appeared to be doing his best impression of Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders when he arrived at St Andrew's earlier.

Well, I suppose he is in the right city for it after all....

Villa's Jack Grealish opted for a more modern look when he stepped off the team bus.
